By far the maddest weekend ever. Loved every single second of it. Headlining The Opera House with my ninety minute show (twice) was mind-boggling. Then to have the lecture so well received was lovely too.

I can now confirm the books have officially sold out and are now exclusively available on my site online. Huge weight off my shoulders knowing I’m not bringing half a tonne of books back to my garage 😂 The gamble paid off and I can’t thank you all enough.

Expect a video on all this very soon but it’s back to the normal word now - and by ‘normal’, I mean back on tour…

Wednesday I’m in Newbury.
Thursday I’m in Cambridge.
Saturday I’m in Ulverston.

Well the time is nearly upon us people. Taking a mid-tour pit stop to headline the Opera House with my full show for Blackpool Magic Convention tonight whilst at the same time launching my 300 page ‘beefy boy of a book’ for magicians. Crazy times indeed. Can’t wait to get amongst it.

If you’re coming to BMC I’m in the Opera House performing my show on Thursday at 18:15 - 19:45 and 20:45 - 22:15.
I’ll then be lecturing on Friday in the Spanish Hall at 3pm and on Sunday in the Circle Hall at 3:30pm.
You can pick my book up at any of these shindigs - although I’d advise getting in early if you want one. I’m not sure how long I’ll have stock*…

There are also some copies at the Solo stand if you want to grab one early! Be quick though, there’s only a few…

For those not going to the convention, there’s a pre-sale link in my bio honouring the special convention price if you’d like to order online. Price goes back to normal on Monday when the convention finishes so get your order in now if you want one 🙌

*I’m trying to manifest them selling out. I need to shift them. I’ve ordered half a tonne of books, they’ve filled the garage and I’ve had to hire a van to get them to Blackpool. Mrs Rhodes says I’m not allowed back home until I’ve sold them all.

Well we had 4 shows back to back this week and it was bloody brilliant. Thanks to everyone who came out to see the Manchester, Wolverhampton, Bristol and Plymouth shows. I’m a very lucky man.

Couple days at home before I do my show in The Opera House at as part of convention. Crazy times. Back on the road the week after hitting Newbury (25th), Cambridge (26th) and then a hometown Ulverston gig (28th)!

Well I’m only having the time of my life on this tour. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Nottingham, Stafford, Leicester and Leeds shows - you’ve made me feel very special indeed. This is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done with this magic shizzle. Can’t thank you all enough.
I ca feel the show getting tighter each day and it’s super exciting. Next week I’m hitting Manchester, Wolverhampton, Bristol and Plymouth.

Bristol is sold out and Plymouth is whatever the opposite of sold out is - send help please.

Big news for magicians…. Jacky boy’s written a book! 📘

Only took me a year…

Joking aside, I’m very proud of it.

It’s a 300 page deep dive into my approach to magic. What I’ve learned from the worlds of engineering, stand up comedy and content creation - and how I’ve applied that to my act.

The book is split into two parts; the two things I’m known for...

Part one is all about ‘Magic On Video’ and dives into everything I’ve learnt throughout my time making daft videos. But don’t worry, you don’t need to be a dirty ‘content creator’ for this stuff to apply.

Part two, on the other hand, is all about ‘Magic On Stage’. Truthfully, this half is the reason I wrote the book. I’ve spent the past two years obsessively working on my debut live show - constantly tweaking, rewriting and honing each routine.

Partway through the development of the show, I figured I could actually be documenting a lot of this process. I have all the video files. I have all my notes. Why not turn the process of the show development into a permanent record for others to learn from?

Now if I was trying to be all salesy, I’d tell you that the contents of this book have helped generate over a quarter of a billion views online, built an audience of 500,000+ followers across social platforms and have been used to form a hit live show championed by magicians worldwide. But I’m not going to say that, I’m not that crass.

What I will say is the book is a beefy boy.

It’s a 300 page hardback photo quality book complete with QR codes dotted throughout and over 5 hours of accompanying video content (including 3 uncut work in progress shows). I probably went a bit overboard to be honest.

It’s also entirely self-produced and I accidentally sent off for half a tonne of books to be printed without even realising.

I had to hire a van just to get them home...

Now, these are all getting launched at BMC at a special convention price. But I’m also honouring the sale price for online pre-sale orders until Feb 23rd!

The tour is now underway! After a buzzing sold out show at Nottingham, I’m gonna be hitting Stafford, Leicester & Leeds this week 🙌 I’m really proud of the show and this is literally the dream of every performer. Very grateful to everyone that’s bought tickets so far. If you know of anyone that you think would like the show, send them this way. It would be much appreciated amigos.

Can’t wait for the rest of the run - Nottingham, you were a delight. But seriously, people of Stafford, I need your help 😂

Well, it’s all getting a bit real now. Tour kicks off this Friday in Nottingham and I genuinely can’t wait. Really proud of the show. Past couple weeks have all been tour prep, nosey through to the end and you’ll see what goodies you can get at the shows ☺️
