What an amazing experience of pride for Cumberland House Cree Nation 💛🖤

Congratulations to these young athletes on an amazing victory! You stepped onto that field carrying more than just your team colours you carried the name, spirit, and pride of Cumberland House Cree Nation with you but also carrying the pride of Prince George representing there city. Your commitment has shown that when you are given the opportunity to chase your dreams, you can accomplish incredible things.

To our young athletes & the youth who follow my page, keep believing in yourselves, keep working hard, and keep showing the younger generation what is possible. Your journey can inspire another young person from our community to pick up a football, step onto a field, and believe that they can do it as well.

MY STORY — FROM DESTRUCTION TO HOPE

My story comes from a place of leading a life of destruction and having to slowly rebuild my life and, most importantly, rebuild myself when I had hit rock bottom.

My story comes from a place of heartache, struggles, mistakes, and moments when I wanted to give up. But through God, my children, prayer, and the strength I found within myself, I continued my journey.

I faced hardships, barriers, and obstacles because of the past I was working so hard to overcome. But those experiences didn’t destroy me — they molded me. They pushed me to try harder, to become stronger, and to use my experiences to help others.

Today, I want to share my story so that our youth can see that your past does not have to determine your future.

I want to share hope with those who may be struggling, because realistically, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Life is hard. People struggle. We fall. We make mistakes. We sometimes lose our way. But we can get back up.

Sometimes, all we need is to hear that we are not alone. We need to know that someone else has walked through the darkness and made it to the other side.

If my story can inspire even one young person to keep going, then sharing it is worth it.

If you want to hear more of my story, invite me into your community. Let’s talk. Let’s share. Let’s heal together. ❤️
