Let's start meeting our esteemed judges for this year's Route 66 Title Competitions! First up, our head judge for our Pet and Bear Contests...

Zach Gillette, also known as Daddy Zach, is a kinky dominant from Kansas City, Missouri. He proudly embraces his roles as a husband to Gus, and as a Daddy/Boyfriend to Puppycat Momo. A well-known figure in the LGBTQ+ community, Zach was crowned Iowa Bear 2019 and Mr. World Bear 2021, gaining recognition for his leadership and commitment to q***r visibility. In addition to his bear titles, he is a beloved sister of the Perpetual Indulgence, associated with the house of the Priory of the Wilde Rose.

Zach is a passionate advocate for mental health, inclusion, and diversity, dedicating much of his time to spreading messages of q***r joy and warmth. When he's not out in the community, Zach enjoys the simpler pleasures of life, often found at home relaxing and cuddling with his pups… both bio and human. His genuine care for others and his dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment have made him a beloved figure in his community.

The International Mr. Leather organization is proud to officially announce that beginning in 2026, International Mr. Leather Weekend will once again include the International Mr. Bootblack contest. Going forward, IMBB will be an integral part of the IML weekend in conjunction with a reimagined Open Shine. Moving forward, International Mr. Bootblack and International Mr. Leather will serve together as partners in representing this organization.

Our goal is to reintroduce this partnership with intention and language that reflects the heart of our communities. This is not about rewriting the past, but about building a stronger future that uplifts all members of our leather, kink, and bootblack family.

We are focused on co-branding a partnership that honors visibility, diversity, and inclusion—especially for those who’ve felt unseen. We acknowledge and celebrate the value bootblacks bring to leather culture and affirm that we are stronger side-by-side.

We are committed to making our actions, language, and leadership work hard to achieve these goals.

The International Mr. Bootblack Competition will be open to any person who is at least 21 years old and is ready and willing to wear their International Mr. Bootblack insignia with pride.

So proud of Brewer Canis, our Route 66 Pup 2023, on his fantastic International Puppy and Trainer Contest run and for being named First Runner-Up for International Puppy 2025!!! He DEFINITELY did us and himself proud.
