Steven Cohens performance Bo***ir is in Studio Bergen February 10th and 11th, and it is half film, half installation. Steven Cohen describes himself as a gay, Jewish, white, South African man, and this last piece has recently been performed at Centre Pompidou in Paris. In his latest piece he plays host to audiences from within his bedroom. Not any bedroom, but an imperialistic bo***ir, a chapel or refuge in which he gathers up his memories of the past, his and ours of the last century, gruesome though they may be.

Join the celebration at the end of the 'Gestures and Nods' seminar this Saturday 26th November at Landmark Bergen (19:00 - 22:30) 🪩

Asterisk club night is a q***r multi-disciplinary event by Kaeto Sweeney with special guests Safia Bahmed-Schwartz, DJ Amina Oui, and Dj Julie Silset.

Asterisk (by Kaeto Sweeney) celebrates talented local and international q***r artists and performers, it is an alternative event production project with the aim to create safer spaces for q***r and transgender people within institutions and public spaces to showcase artistic interdisciplinary work, such as happenings, performance, sound, and visual art and films and everything in between. Asterisk is run by artist Kaeto Sweeney and supported by Kulturrådet and Bergen Kommune.

‘Gestures and Nods. A Seminar on Cuir/Q***r Approaches to Knowledge Sharing Through Performance’ is curated by Itzel Esquivel / Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA) and organised in collaboration with Bergen Kunsthall.

Skeiv Verden søker DJ!

Skeiv verden ble opprettet 18 år siden i år, og med det vil vi feire! Vi søker 3 skeive DJ-er med minoritetsbakgrunn, mer spesifikt melaninrike personer.
Vi ser etter 3 DJ-er som fokuserer og er kjent med sjangre som går under:

• Arabisk
• Afrikansk og karibisk (Afropop/beat/house og Dancehall, soca etc)
• Latinsk (Reggaeton, bachata, salsa etc)

Vi trenger en 1 time og 30 minutt langt sett fra deg, hvor du enten fokuserer på en eller fler av disse sjangerne.
Feiringen blir 12. November, og det er selvfølgelig honorert oppdrag. Send gjerne et sett du har spilt, og litt om deg og din erfaring til [email protected] og [email protected] helst innen 31. Oktober! Ikke nøl med å kontakte oss om det er noen spørsmål.

Q***r World was founded 18 years ago, and we want to celebrate! We are looking for 3 q***r DJ's with minority background, specifically Black, Indigenous or POC DJ's. We're looking for you who focus on this type of music:
-Arabic
-African and/or Caribbean (Afropop/beat/house Dancehall, soca etc)
-Latin (Reggaeton, bachata, salsa etc)

Your set will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long, where you focus on the genres from one or several of these.
The celebration will be the 12th of November, and is a paid gig. Please send a previous set, and a little more about you and your experience to [email protected] and [email protected] - preferably within 31. of October! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
