I grew so much within 2024. I wouldn’t recognize the person I am today, so much less timid, so much braver, so much less hindered by her past. I would never have dreamed of truly being authentic on social media, I was too afraid. But I also think my true self was hiding, and now she’s beginning to shine. I am ready to share her, so thank you to those who helped me find her. I have big dreams for 2025, so here’s to continuing to push forward, not completely fearless, but doing “the thing” despite the fear.

I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with make-up and looking at it as art. Any way we can use the body to express ourselves is such a beautiful thing, especially as it goes through all the phases of life ❤️

“Wild Geese” by Mary Oliver has been my favorite poem for over six years. I hope it reaches you like it does me, a reminder to reconnect with others, Mother Nature, and yourself.

Lately I’ve been thinking on the nature of romantic love and why we love certain people. I don’t really have any conclusions yet, but I found this quote that made me think about how often I (and others) have been hurt by a partner. It made me think of how we all still crave love, whether we’re ready for it or not. Then at some point, we put ourselves out there again, knowing the risk. And I think that’s beautiful.

I used to think I’d know myself completely one day and that’d be it, but every few months I feel lost again. It seems figuring yourself out is a lifelong thing. I’ve started looking at this cycle as a gift where I get to learn new things about the world and how I fit into it. This quote reminded me of that. I’m hoping it does for others, too ❤️

Here’s to normalizing saying the truth of how we feel; instead of mental distress pushing someone away, I hope one day, it will bring friends closer together. You’re never alone if you only ask for help ❤️
