It was a gorgeous and intentional two-day ceremony of events for our beautiful couple, Kiersten and Sunjeev. When you ask them what their vision for their wedding was, they wanted a fusion of culture, family and traditions from both of their Hindu and Christian backgrounds. We carefully planned the ultimate party of a lifetime while staying true to the Indian elements and cultural reverence that was important to them. Day One was their welcome party and Sangeet, a fun-filled, festive, and memorable pre-wedding celebration that brings families together to celebrate the upcoming union. K & S’ families and friends performed choreographed dances as we dined on the best Indian food. Guests arrived dressed to the occasion in the most beautifully designed saree’s and lehengas.
Day Two we started our morning off with their Baraat, where our Groom processed on horseback and we had a lively parade that wrapped around the streets of Monument. Our baraat concluded with an immersive two-hour traditional ceremony that took place under the Mandap (wedding canopy) representing the universe. The Vedic prayers and mantras were in the Sanskrit language. During the ceremony, the priest invoked the Divinity (Earth, Water, Light, Air and Space) to sanctify and guide the couple by various rituals.
We had a brief intermission before we joined back to their reception where the festivities continued through the evening- a pasta bar, more dancing, an ice cream bar with special His and Hers Ice Cream. Kiersten and Sunjeev thought of every detail to reflect them as a couple in every way!
To everyone who attended their wedding, they voiced that this was one of the best wedding experiences that they’ve ever had and that’s always music to my ears and the best compliment that we can ever receive.
