A few pro tips ✅ when searching 👀 for your tiny home with a partner with one of our fav tiny home couples!
A few details about your tiny? 🏡
o Our home is 36’ x 10’
o We have windows on all sides and high ceilings which makes it feel open and big!
o We had our wonderful neighbor help us to enclose the under portion of our gooseneck which provided us a ‘shed’ for extra outdoor storage.
Favorite thing about tiny living? 🧹
o Simplicity and mobility.
o Easier and less time to clean!
Least favorite? 🚰
o One bathroom with no double sinks!
Any advice for couples considering going tiny? 💕
o Start downsizing early. Keep the things you can’t live without. If possible, take photos of sentimental items and discard the physical item.
o Consider what is a priority to you and look for that in your tiny house – is it a wide-open feeling and therefore you want more windows or is it enough sleeping space for several people and therefore you need more beds/lofts.
o Think about day-to-day life and what you need when looking for a home. Do you cook all the time and therefore need full appliances and a bigger kitchen or do you prefer to have more space in the bathroom and double sinks. You will have to forfeit something when going tiny, so think of the things that are the most important to you for day-to-day living.
o Look for ample storage! Every nook and cranny of a tiny home can be used for storage, make sure to utilize the space the best you can!
