We could all use more cheerleaders. 💜
Lately, I've been paying closer attention to the way people interact with one another—and to my own interactions too.
I've noticed how easy it is to correct, criticize, or point out the smallest things.
The way someone said something.
The way they did something.
The answer they gave.
Most of the time, it's not even about anything important.
Yet those little moments can leave someone feeling defeated, unsupported, or not good enough.
What if we cared more about the person than being right?
What if we paused long enough to consider how our words might land before we spoke them?
What if we chose encouragement over correction more often?
The truth is, we all have opinions, and many of them change over time anyway.
We can debate almost anything if we want to.
But when I think about the precious time we're given with one another, I find myself asking:
Is being right really more important than loving them, valuing them, and being a safe place for them to be themselves?
The world doesn't need more critics.
It needs more cheerleaders.
Someone who sees the effort.
Someone who offers grace.
Someone who reminds another person of their strengths when they've forgotten.
Today, let's look for opportunities to build each other up.
You never know how much a kind word, a little encouragement, or simply being on someone's side might mean. 💜✨
