The Gal never stops coming up with ideas, and The Beard mostly likes all of them. 😅 It’s officially official y’all is coming to Zeeland Township, conveniently located off of Chicago drive. After 5 years of bringing everything to you we’re thrilled to create a place to welcome you to. It’s going to be a lot of work and happen in phases, but we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come. Thank you to our family, friends and dear customers for making this dream a reality.

Unfortunately, we will not be at the Holland Farmers Market this week as vendors. The Gal has her next MS infusion this morning and The Beard is busy in the kitchen in preparation for our Summer Soirée this coming Saturday.

Since the end of 2020 our little family has been riding out a storm that doesn’t want to end. A storm that could be a novel series at this point. While riding out this storm we started a family and poured our hands, heart and soul into creating The Beard & The Gal something that has brought us purpose and true joy.

It’s our proof that heartache and joy can happen at the same time. You can create something beautiful, meaningful, exciting, impactful and feel true joy, while also experiencing grief, anxiety, doubt, worry and sadness. You learn that you can have a day with a bad moment or moments and still enjoy your day. There will also be days where it’s all too much, and it’s okay to not be okay.

We’ve had another challenging week as Gina started her new MS treatment and the kindness, love, support, words of encouragement and empathy that we feel from our family, friends and community is truly remarkable. We needed every single bit of our village this week and we can’t thank you enough.

You will find Chloe at the Holland Farmers Market today selling what Cory was able to make. We will be back in full swing next week for the holiday, and will post our schedule tomorrow. If there is something specific you’d like, we encourage you to pre-order it today for Wednesday & Saturday pick up next week.

Last year was the hardest year of our lives, and this past week was by far the worst week of our lives. A pain the leaves you with more questions than answers. It’s a pain that changes your life. A pain that makes moving forward feel impossible. A pain that leaves you gasping for air.

This tragedy is a harsh reminder just how quickly life can change, and that the only way forward is cherishing every minute of the life we get.

We feel our family, friends and community holding us tight. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
