Celebration for my in-laws today. I must say…I love event photography. I love capturing authentic moments, especially for the guests of honor and their families. It’s so hard to be in the moment when you’re busy hosting…this gives them something to look back on.

I’m actually very allergic to dogs (yes I own a dog) so I told myself to bring my inhaler. Welp, I totally forgot it at home. Started wheezing and coughing, but I survived! 🤪

It’s hard to photograph when you’re also competing as an athlete. I did what I could! There were SO many teams, so many nets… so many divisions and brackets. I know I missed out on so many awesome shots.

I have always wanted to get into photography, but I had so many doubts and not enough time. You can only run with your excuses for so long. It’s hard to find time to practice, so I took the entire family out yesterday.

Behind this serene portrait, are two kids in a wagon with my dog attached to it. I had to keep checking to make sure one of the kids wasn’t gonna climb out and fall on their head, or that no dogs were coming too close to my dog cause she’s antisocial. 🫢

I had the honor of photographing my first “fresh 48” session this afternoon. These sessions occur within the first 48 hours of a baby’s life, typically done in a hospital setting. I love the raw nature of these portrait sessions. Babies are a blessing from the Lord, and this brought me so much joy! This is definitely where my passion lies.
