Please join me in congratulating Sarah Hernandez-Bravo on her promotion to Resident District Manager! We’re thrilled to announce her promotion from Chef Manager at Thrive Café to Resident District Manager (RDM) of Chicago for Dining & Events Professional Dining - Corporate Chefs & Constellation Culinary Group! She already received the Chef of the Year Award in 2024, representing Dining & Events - her career with Elior North America is just beginning!
If you’ve ever had the chance to work with Sarah, you know how deeply she cares, not just about the food, but about her people, her guests, and the energy she creates within a café. At Thrive Café in Schaumburg, IL, she’s built something really special: a space that feels welcoming, inspired, and full of personality. Her menus are thoughtful, balancing hearty, nostalgic favorites with fresh, feel-good options that reflect the diversity of Chicago and the needs of today’s guests. A proud graduate of Johnson & Wales, she brings both technical expertise and genuine warmth to everything she does. She listens to her team, builds trust, and brings everyone along in the process to create menus and cafe experiences.
Sarah makes food fun, engaging, and inclusive. One of the most unique things about Sarah is her genuine love for nostalgia. From her childhood admiration of the Care Bears to her deep appreciation for comforting, familiar flavors, she brings a sense of warmth and playfulness to everything she creates. That spirit shines through in her creativity, where thoughtful touches and creative nods to the past resonate with our guests.
As RDM, Sarah will now bring that same passion and purpose to a wider group of cafés across the Chicago area. She’ll play a key role in shaping the guest experience, mentoring Chefs and Managers, and strengthening our partnerships with Clients. Her leadership will help ensure that food feels personal, teams feel empowered, and hospitality is felt at all levels.
Please join us in congratulating Sarah on this well-deserved promotion. We’re lucky to work with her, and even luckier to see her grow.
Bravo, Sarah! (see what we did there 😉)
