This week was special for Dale Quest, Dacian Irving, Lorraine Brown, and Zemroy Brown as they celebrated Jamaican Independence Day at our cafe in Bar Harbor, Maine.

This close knit team shared heritage recipes for a Caribbean takeover featuring Chef Dale’s island chicken curry, jerk chicken, rice and peas, and more! Thank you for bringing the flavors and traditions of Jamaica to our guests!

After 12 years with , we’re honored to celebrate the retirement of District Manager Kimberly Beal.

Kimberly has led with heart, building a tight knit team across multiple client kitchens where camaraderie flourished even when the team couldn’t be together every day. Her leadership has always been about more than operations — it’s been about people. She has a true gift for recognizing potential and helping others grow into their best selves.

Over the years, Kimberly has guided team members as they rose from cashiers to line cooks to Chef Managers, supporting each step of their journey with encouragement and mentorship. She has helped countless individuals discover their place in the food and beverage industry, whether through catering, running micromarkets, leading barista bars, or managing the “caf’s” (as our Boston leaders affectionately call them). Many of her team members credit their success and confidence to the foundation Kimberly built with them.

As she turns the page to retirement, Kimberly looks forward to time at the beach and in her garden, where she’s currently growing two kinds of eggplant, four varieties of tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and more. Just like her gardens, her career has been about planting seeds, nurturing growth, and watching her teams flourish.

Please join us in thanking Kimberly for her incredible dedication and wishing her all the best in her well-deserved next chapter. Congratulations, Kimberly!! Your legacy of leadership and empowerment will continue to inspire us.

At Corporate Chefs, we believe the best leaders bring their whole selves to the table—and Chef Justin Corrigan does just that.

From performing in a pop punk band to cooking Sunday dinners with his Italian grandmother, Justin’s path to leadership has always been fueled by creativity, connection, and a deep love for the craft. What started as a personal passion for food grew into a career where he’s now leading a massive corporate campus kitchen in Massachusetts with heart, skill, and purpose.

His story is a reminder that when we invest in people and their potential, they grow, they stay, and they’re happy! We’re proud to be a company where Chefs can build lasting careers, be themselves, and rise into roles that reflect who they are, both inside and outside the kitchen.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ve been popping up with BeWell Tasting Tables to help folks take a breather, grab a nourishing snack, and walk away with some feel-good wellness tips.

The fan favorite this round? Almond Coconut Date Balls. Just a few simple ingredients, no added sugar, and they still somehow taste like dessert.

Melissa Ferris, RD, was on hand to chat about all things nutrition. From fad diets to protein and supplements, these quick convos help clear up confusion and make healthy habits feel more doable.

We also got to share one of our favorite resources — Ask A Dietitian. It’s a free email service where employees can get their general wellness questions answered by a Registered Dietitian anytime.

Please join me in congratulating Sarah Hernandez-Bravo on her promotion to Resident District Manager! We’re thrilled to announce her promotion from Chef Manager at Thrive Café to Resident District Manager (RDM) of Chicago for Dining & Events Professional Dining - Corporate Chefs & Constellation Culinary Group! She already received the Chef of the Year Award in 2024, representing Dining & Events - her career with Elior North America is just beginning!

If you’ve ever had the chance to work with Sarah, you know how deeply she cares, not just about the food, but about her people, her guests, and the energy she creates within a café. At Thrive Café in Schaumburg, IL, she’s built something really special: a space that feels welcoming, inspired, and full of personality. Her menus are thoughtful, balancing hearty, nostalgic favorites with fresh, feel-good options that reflect the diversity of Chicago and the needs of today’s guests. A proud graduate of Johnson & Wales, she brings both technical expertise and genuine warmth to everything she does. She listens to her team, builds trust, and brings everyone along in the process to create menus and cafe experiences.

Sarah makes food fun, engaging, and inclusive. One of the most unique things about Sarah is her genuine love for nostalgia. From her childhood admiration of the Care Bears to her deep appreciation for comforting, familiar flavors, she brings a sense of warmth and playfulness to everything she creates. That spirit shines through in her creativity, where thoughtful touches and creative nods to the past resonate with our guests.

As RDM, Sarah will now bring that same passion and purpose to a wider group of cafés across the Chicago area. She’ll play a key role in shaping the guest experience, mentoring Chefs and Managers, and strengthening our partnerships with Clients. Her leadership will help ensure that food feels personal, teams feel empowered, and hospitality is felt at all levels.

Please join us in congratulating Sarah on this well-deserved promotion. We’re lucky to work with her, and even luckier to see her grow.

Bravo, Sarah! (see what we did there 😉)
