I will be moderating and speaking.
The future is no longer comingโitโs already here.
This Friday, as we commemorate the Day of the African Child, join us for a powerful and timely conversation:
Coding the Future: What AI Means for the African Child
Rooted in our theme, Future Ready: & , this conversation will center the voices that matter mostโyoung people.
Together, we will explore how is shaping the lives, opportunities, dreams, and futures of today.
This is not a discussion about predicting some distant future.
It is about listening to the young people who are already living it.
Is the African child prepared for a world that has already embraced AI?
To answer that question, we will hear from remarkable young people from vastly different backgrounds: a homeschooled learner, a youth born and raised in a rural community, a young person from the informal settlements of Nairobi, and another from an upper-middle-class family. Their journeys may be different, but they meet at one powerful intersectionโtechnology, innovation, and .
We will talk about:
1๏ธโฃHow AI is impacting education, creativity, and opportunity
2๏ธโฃWhat it means to stay rooted in identity and culture while embracing innovation
3๏ธโฃThe possibilitiesโand challengesโthat lie ahead for African children
4๏ธโฃAnd ultimately ask: Where do we go from here?
We are honored to be joined by youth and "young-at-heart" presenters who are navigating an increasingly -driven world while holding firmly to their identity, culture, values, and dreams.
Our sub-theme for this conversation is especially significant:
โHonoring Identity While Embracing Innovationโ
This promises to be an engaging, thought-provoking, and inspiring dialogue that you won't want to miss.
โผ๏ธRegister today and be part of the conversation.
Come listen, learn, engage, and help shape a future where African children are not just consumers of technologyโbut creators, leaders, and innovators.
We look forward to seeing you there!
