One year ago, Something Blue Events officially launched. Today, Iām celebrating one year in business while simultaneously proving that I should probably stick to planning weddings instead of creating viral Reels. š„
What started as a dream and a leap of faith has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. Iāve had the honor of serving incredible couples, working alongside talented wedding professionals, and becoming part of a community that has welcomed me with open arms.
The support Iāve received this past year has been overwhelming in the best possible way. I am especially grateful for my friendors, family, and friends who say my name in rooms Iām not in, refer me to their clients, families, and friends, and continue to cheer me on. The impact that kind of support has had on both my business and my heart is immeasurable.
This community has made me a better planner, a better business owner, and ultimately allowed me to serve my couples in a more thoughtful and well-rounded way.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of participating in Venue 650ās first-ever Open House, and I cannot think of a more wonderful way to celebrate my one-year business anniversary. Being surrounded by fellow wedding professionals, engaged couples, and so many people who have been part of this journey made the day even more special.
And yes, the champagne pop may have flopped but thank goodness my weddings turn out better than my viral Reel attempts.
But if you look closely, youāll also see something very real. Pure joy. Pure gratitude. Pure appreciation for this life, this business, and every couple who has trusted me along the way.
I truly feel blessed to do what I love, and being invited into such an important season of someoneās life is something I will never take for granted.
As I look ahead to year two, my commitment remains the same: to serve intentionally, plan thoughtfully, and ensure every celebration is beautifully executed.
