Brown Butter Creations will be handing out cookies at the end of this year's Juneteenth Celebration. Brown Butter Creations was established in 2018, and is run by two sisters, Marika Esteves-Smith and Ashli Esteves-Nelson. Their goal is to create memorable experiences through their desserts and have you reaching for the next bite saying to yourself “Mmm…that tastes like more!”

Tony Harrington and TOUCH will be performing at this year's Juneteenth Celebration. Tony Harrington & Touch is a multi-faceted band that has the capacity vocally and instrumentally to perform an array of R & B, Jazz, Motown, and Classic Rock material. The band is composed of Tony Harrington, Daphne "Zoe" Falconer-Davis, Mark Moore, Patrick Williams, Dan McNamarra, Greg Glove, John Davis , and Pat Thompson.

Juneteenth Celebration Emcee

Shawn Wooden, a Hartford native, was Connecticut’s 83rd state treasurer. He previously spent 21 years as an investment attorney focused on public pension plans. Wooden worked in key roles for the mayor of Hartford and the state commissioner of social services. A former president of the Hartford City Council and Connecticut state director of Project Vote, he also served on the Connecticut Citizen’s Ethics Advisory Board overseeing the Connecticut Office of State Ethics and worked in the AFL-CIO’s Office of Investment in Washington, D.C. Wooden was recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyer for securities and corporate finance, business/corporate. Wooden currently works for Apollo and is responsible for the manager’s relationships with public pension plans and expanding products designed for the public
pension plan market. He is the father of two teenaged sons.
