As we have entered the final stage prior to the book's release, I was blessed to travel to the Tidewater area of Virginia to record a TV interview with "Portsmouth Now." 😎 I'll share info soon on how you can watch that episode. After the interview, it was nice to "bounce" around Portsmouth and Norfolk, see the modern-day sites, and envision the days when Buffalo Bill brought the Wild West here...🤠

Book Release News... Although we've had more than our share of delays in getting this GROUNDBREAKING BOOK published, we are getting really close. Just like Annie Oakley - we've got OUR SIGHTS SET...🤠 Ours are set on a not-too-distant book release of BUFFALO BILL IN THE LIMELIGHT ACROSS VIRGINIA... Though the process has been painfully slow at times, I'm starting to schedule public appearances in the late summer and fall - will do some sooner if possible😎

And as far as good ol' Annie Oakley goes - she is showcased numerous times in the book. How cool that she was actually here in Virginia... maybe your grandma and grandpa or great grandma and great grandpa saw her??‼️

Well, heck - I've been "slow on the draw" in posting some scenes of the Buffalo Bill and Wild West fun we had earlier this month over at the Elks Lodge. Many thanks to David Gardiner , Bryan Burnes , Diane Burnes , and Charles Harbaugh IV for helping make it all happen and contributing to the fabulous time we had. Also Lorie Woods who took and posted a variety of pictures - 3 or which I "borrowed" and posted here too.

105 years ago good 'ol Buffalo Bill 🤠 was on a big swing through Virginia... and, man, did we have fun celebrating it in Middletown a couple of weeks ago...‼ I've got pictures pouring in from everywhere - I've posted some here and some different ones over on my personal (John Flood) page. DID YOUR GREAT-GRANDMA OR GREAT-GRANDPA GO TO THE WILD WEST SHOW?? 🤠If they did, they may have bought postcards like the ones seen here. A lady I met in Bristol VA-TN showed me cards actually purchased by her relative when Cody came to town - she still has them over a century later, how cool is that‼ Talk to your relatives... maybe they have Wild West stories handed down...🐎

STAGECOACH ATTACKS, STAMPEDING BUFFALO, COWBOYS & INDIANS, GUNS BLAZING, and THOUSANDS of CHEERING FANS...‼ Buffalo Bill and his Wild West 🤠came to towns and cities across Virginia a boatload of times from 1873 to 1916, and I have all the action captured in my soon-to-be-released book, "Buffalo Bill in the Limelight Across Virginia."
