As we move into June, we’re closing this chapter.

Over the past year, we’ve built and hosted a series of original experiences including night markets, Vinyl & Paint, Side B Social, and The Rye Note, across multiple cities and communities.

22 events later, what started as an idea became a successful year in business and a space that brought people together in a real way. We’re proud to have founded something original and to have seen it grow through every event, every city, and every person who showed up and supported it.

With deep gratitude, this chapter is coming to a close.
Our final events take place in Wilmington on May 23rd, Baltimore on May 30th, and where it all began on June 13th.

We’re officially 2 weeks away from the Afro Eats Supper Club - Fundraiser Event 🇸🇳

And this is why it matters.

This journey to Senegambia isn’t just a trip. It is a once in a lifetime cultural experience rooted in history, identity, and connection. From visiting Gorée Island to participating in ceremonies and community gatherings, this is something I will carry with me forever.

And this dinner is how I am getting there.

Road to Senegambia: Afro-Eats Supper Club Presented by The Rye Note 🌍

We’re hosting our very first fundraiser + supper club experience in honor of our founder’s journey to Senegal & Gambia this May (May 9–18), celebrating the 50th anniversary of Roots and honoring LeVar Burton, star of Roots and Reading Rainbow.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support this 10-day cultural experience but this night is about more than just the journey. It’s about bringing the taste of West Africa to Wilmington.

For one night, we’re creating a space centered around culture, food, and connection, led by Chef Ndiaye, curating authentic Senegalese, French, and Gambian cuisine.

What to expect:
Senegalese jollof rice with spiced chicken or savory vegetarian stew
Fried Plantains
Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Banana Pudding for dessert

Your all-inclusive ticket includes: Full menu 2 West African–inspired cocktails or Mocktails 3-hour DJ set featuring Afrobeats, Afro soul, and house music A space to eat, dance, and connect

Every ticket supports the Road to Senegambia journey.
