Snow is forecasted in our service areas on Wednesday, February 12 and is expected to continue into Thursday morning, which may impact service. Our team is closely monitoring conditions, and any service delays or cancellations will be shared on our website and on our local pages.

To help ensure safe and uninterrupted service, please follow these winter weather tips: ✔️ Set carts out the night before to avoid potential delays
✔️ Clear a path around your trash and recycling carts
✔️ Use salt where carts will be placed to prevent slipping
✔️ Place carts on a flat, accessible area away from snowdrifts
✔️ Keep lids closed to prevent snow buildup and wind-blown debris

Service is canceled today. We will collect two weeks’ worth of trash on Thursday, February 13.

CITY OF BUCANAN
THURSDAY SERVICE
Due to dangerous icy road conditions and for the safety of our drivers, regular Thursday service will be delayed by one day. Your pickup will now take place on Friday, February 7.
FRIDAY SERVICE
Your service will remain on schedule for Friday, February 7.

Portables service will be cancelled on Monday, January 20, 2025 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Portables service will also be cancelled on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with temperatures expected to drop below zero degrees. Service will resume on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 and all Monday & Tuesday pickups will be done throughout the remainder of the week.

📢 Please Note: If your service is missed on Monday or Tuesday, your extra waste will be collected at no additional charge later this week. 📅
