Getting ready to cover the Ohio Childrens’ Alliance Annual Conference. First time back in person in two years!
Greetings on a wet Boston evening.
Many thanks to Evan Yarrington for taking the day and Hiking Old Man’s Cave with his old man.
It appears as though Wile E. himself paid a visit last night.
Here is another in a series of eight videos we created in collaboration with , and .
Food Rescue US - Columbus: "Empowers volunteers to eliminate food waste AND hunger in our area! We match up donating agencies (restaurants, bakeries) with receiving agencies (shelters, pantries)--you transport the food."
If you are looking for an easy way to put your time and energy towards being part of the solution, then check them out.

I had the opportunity earlier in the week to capture Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and the moon all in alignment. I doubt you can see in the post due to resolution, but Neptune and Uranus are also in the lineup.
Food Rescue US - Columbus is a group that makes huge impacts. They take away unused food, saving the provider the cost and time. They provide that food to those in need. They prevent that food from filling space in our landfills. That's a solid win-win-win.

This is a great example of how local businesses can support local folks in need as well as reducing waste pressure on landfills without any sacrifice. The amount of food we simply waste in our society could turn the tables on hunger. Food Rescue US - Columbus is an amazing group of folks who strive for win-win-win scenarios.

This is one of a series of nine videos we created with Food Rescue US - Columbus. Their mission is to empower volunteers to eliminate food waste AND hunger in our area! They match up donating agencies (restaurants, bakeries) with receiving agencies (shelters, pantries)--you transport the food. They are an amazing group of folks who are quite dedicated to the cause. I love projects in which I can meet new people who are passionate about what they do and can help them tell their stories.
I love it when repeat clients and I can share a vision. It makes the work fun and relaxed.
Grecian Windflowers, one of the early harbingers of Spring, never disappoint in making me feel like celebrating.
Lights! Camera! Action! 20’ wide green screen setup in the studio earlier this week.
Thanks post: Me & Bret Michaels 8/17/14. Original (un-Bernied) snap thx to Yarrington Studio.
I had to clean out some old files this week and came across prints I did in Photo 101 at The Ohio State University, Winter quarter 1983. I haven't looked at these images for 38 years. They remind me of just what drove me to pursue this art as my life's work. For me - looking through a lens opened my eyes, seemingly, for the first time. I noticed details - people, buildings, light - as if transported to a whole new dimension. Those first few months, that singular moment, awoke a passion in me that has sustained me now for these past 38 years. My goal for 2021 is to recognize and reinforce that passion by ramping up the video production portion of my business. Adding sound, graphics and motion to images, along with heartfelt stories has become my new muse.
Meet Derek, Lila and Little Stevie - they are tireless models who never complain or take breaks. They have helped me produce countless clothing catalogs and, after weeks on end alone in the studio with me, have learned to laugh at my jokes.
We are busy today getting the studio prepped for a video interview. Video services have helped keep Yarrington Studio busy these past nine months.
I first met Mariah a number of years ago while photographing her as the subject of a story about her horrific accident and physical recovery from that accident. I was impressed by her spirit and attitude at that time. She went on to have some really tough times after that and has since regained control of her life and is now helping others through the darkness. It was a pleasant surprise when our paths crossed again and I was able to film this interview with her back in April.

This is the first in a series of Covid-19 awareness videos I shot for Genesis Healthcare System. We interviewed frontline nurses to get their perspectives on the status of this pandemic. They all agreed that wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing do make a big difference in the spread. They are overwhelmed across this country and need our collective cooperation in order to get through this until we have an effective vaccine and can inoculate a critical mass of the population. There is no predictor for how an individual will respond to this virus and it can go from mild to very serious in a short period of time.
Help Us Protect Our Community
We care deeply for our community and would love to know every person in it. However, we don't want our first meeting to be due to COVID-19. Taking these three simple steps can drastically reduce the spread of COVID-19 and help keep our community healthy. Learn more ➔ https://bit.ly/3l831fV

I want to take the opportunity to personally thank New Albany Chamber of Commerce Ohio and for awarding my business a $2,000 small business grant. This money will certainly help us through the loss of business during the Covid-19 pandemic.
These may not look like much - they are blooms from wild grape vines - but the smell they put off is making everything around here smell like a grape perfume factory. Simply amazing.
It’s iris season!
A Memorial Day video that we helped to create for Blendon township's virtual service due to COVID-19.

A few weeks ago I found a cocoon while cutting dead wood. Yesterday it emerged as a beautiful female Polyphemus Moth.
Yarrington Studio is proud to have participated in a video interview for Genesis Healthcare System with a COVID-19 survivor they were entrusted to treat. Dennis, an otherwise healthy 49-year old, was the first known case in Muskingum County and his ordeal was a very close call. He spent 8 days on a ventilator and his prognosis was very poor. On the other side of it now, he has a very compelling story to tell about how seriously we need to take this disease. Additionally, his testimony to his level of care and compassion he received is very moving.

This summer we had the opportunity to film the 2019 Ohio Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run and the Power Lifting Competition. This is a sample reel highlighting the excitement, fun and talent of some of these athletes and the law enforment officers who help support that effort with their time. The opening ceremonies take place at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and, if you ever have the chance to go, you will be quite impressed.
