We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful Una Stubbs, who brought so much joy and talent to every project she graced. We were fortunate to work with her here on Call the Midwife, where she appeared as Gert Mills in Series 4, Episode 7, leaving a lasting impression on the cast and crew with her professionalism, warmth, and remarkable skill.
Una Stubbs was a leading light in a golden era of British screen, appearing in countless landmark productions and films throughout her distinguished career. Her performances were always memorable, blending charm, nuance, and a unique presence that captivated audiences across generations.
She passed away at the age of 84, surrounded by her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire actors and delight viewers, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with her.
