Cue the Elf is officially Open to Work.

After two weeks at Advanced Staging Productions, HR has determined his seasonal contract has ended for the following reasons:

• Attempted forklift operation without certification
• Pressed every button in the warehouse, audio rack, and video switcher
• Rode a motor uninvited
• Entered multiple camera shots
• Claimed to be a “pixel expert”
• Took selfies on company time
• Treated every department like he was in charge

We wish Cue the best in his future endeavors — preferably ones that don’t involve sensitive equipment.

Cue the Elf spent the last few days shadowing our Sales Team — and let’s just say he’s still catching his breath.

He networked, took notes in a training seminar, flew across state lines, turned a hotel room into a “remote office,” and even joined a client meeting… all in three days, while trying to keep his tiny briefcase organized.

Big shoutout to our Sales Department for showing Cue what the sales life is really like!

At Advanced Staging Productions, strong teams build great events. Last night, we gathered for our Annual Holiday Party to celebrate teamwork, camaraderie, and the achievements of the past year. Congratulations to our ASPY and President’s Award winners, and thank you to everyone who joined us!

Cue the Elf spent the day with our Project Management Team and discovered that caffeine and checklists power everything.

He camped out on the plotter waiting for prints, made coffee, joined a Teams call, sent emails, built reminder lists, and tagged along to show site — all before asking where “load-in” fell on the checklist.

Huge thanks to our Project Management Team for keeping Cue (and everyone else) on track.

Cue the Elf spent the day with our Visual Media Team… and immediately tried to make himself the star of the show.

He took a turn on the editing software, helped set up lights in our production studio, stepped right into the middle of a camera shot, and even snuck a selfie behind our producer’s back.

Big thanks to our Visual Media Team for keeping the cameras rolling — even with a tiny director trying to steal the spotlight.

Cue the Elf spent the day with our Video Department… and immediately started pressing buttons he shouldn’t.

He “fixed” a cable back in the warehouse, tried to run one of our switchers, poked around inside a projector, and even managed to break a monitor (we’re still not sure how).

Big thanks to our Video Team for keeping everything running smoothly — and for repairing whatever holiday chaos Cue left behind.

Cue the Elf joined our LED Team today and instantly made himself the unofficial pixel expert.

He marked out cases for our next show, poked around a few panels, and even tried to help with programming — emphasis on tried.

Thanks to our LED Department for keeping Monday bright and keeping Cue out of trouble… mostly.

Cue the Elf ended the week with our Resource Team — and acted like he’d been part of the department for years.

He sat in on meetings, shipped out a package, reviewed rental orders, and hung around the office like he was running the place.

Thanks to our Resource Team for putting up with our tiniest temporary hire!

Cue the Elf clocked in with our Lighting Department and treated the shop like his own personal light show.

He tried building truss, took an unexpected ride up a motor, drafted a lighting plot, and discovered how dramatic uplighting can be when it turns your whole face red.

Huge thanks to our Lighting Team for keeping Cue safe and the lights looking flawless.

Cue the Elf spent the day with our Audio Team… and wasted no time causing chaos.

He tried his hand at re-soldering a cable (our tech’s face says it all), jumped on the mixer like he was running FOH, and even snuck onto a console while one of our techs caught a quick nap.

Big thanks to our Audio Department for letting Cue “help” — and for fixing whatever he touched afterward.

Cue the Elf clocked in at the Warehouse today and immediately tried to run the place.

He pushed cases like a pro, scanned gear like he owned the inventory, attempted to operate a forklift (we have questions), and then reviewed trucking schedules with the confidence of someone who’s never seen a loading dock.

Big shoutout to our Warehouse Team for showing him how it’s actually done!
