Yesterday we visited both elementary and secondary schools in La Esperanza, Ecuador. Part of our team led STEM activities focused on light, compasses, and rocks while others conducted reading assessments requested by the schools. We realized that many of the joys (and challenges) of teaching are universal and also recognized and appreciated cultural differences. We valued opportunities to collaborate, co-teach, and learn together. READ - Rural Education, Advancement and Development & WCU College of Education and Allied Professions
