Creating and designing makes me happy. I love the quiet. The silence provides me time to think, to reflect, and to process. The silence also allows time for my brain to continue to heal. Last week I was given a very very special opportunity to design flowers for my grandparents’ gravesite in western Kansas. Emma and I delivered the flowers on our drive out to Utah. This design was so special because I was able to add in some of my grandparents favorite things… the color blue for my grandpa which was his favorite color, and wheat for my grandma which she always loved, Kansas wheat. In the silence of creating this special piece I was able to reflect back on all of my favorite memories of my time with them. How lucky I was to have been blessed with so many precious years with them both!!!
