Ladies and Gentlemen, get your lights ready. The Board of the HOA will do their yearly judging of the Holiday Lights on December 16th. The winner of this will receive the coveted Yard of the Month sign, as well as a $25 gift card to Lowe's. Good luck everyone!

The pool is now open. I hope you all have been having fun visiting the pool. Please keep in mind that it is open from 10 am to 10 pm only. Please do not use it at any other times. Also, remember to be aware of safety at all times: those under 14 must have an adult (someone over 18) present with them when they are at the pool. Also, please do not bring glass of any type into the pool area, and no alcoholic beverages at any time. Thanks and have fun!

ANNUAL MEETING DATE SET:

The Meeting date has been set for the Garden Valley HOA Annual Meeting. We will meet on March 6, 2014 in the cafeteria at Felty School on Park Place. There will be a board meeting at 6:30 and the HOA meeting is slotted for 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Official notification will follow via US mail.

We will have a board of directors election. Please notify Nan Udell or Betsy St. Clare, the nominating committee, if you want to suggest a candidate or throw your hat into the ring. We always need good volunteers.

There will be a discussion regarding usage of our swimming pool.

Be sure and send in your proxies if you can't attend.

GVA HOA Christmas Lights Award 2013. Great job. Lots of lovely lights, but the vote was unanimous for this one. The kids loved it! Honorable mention to Ghost Rider for Best Street!

Judging has been moved to December 17th to give people some extra time to get those lights up. None of us expected the weather to be this icey for so long! Stay warm!

It's almost time to get those lights and tinsel out to decorate your house and yard.

This year the HOA Board, assisted by some neighborhood children, will vote on the "Yard of the Month" based on the decorations, as well as the upkeep. The judging will be done the evening of December 10th.

Let the lighting begin!
