My first #FBF of 2016 is on a bitter sweet note:
In 2010 I collaborated with an fun, spirited and fabulously unique couple to plan a wedding of their dreams. Old Hollywood, glamour, sophistication and celebrating in a big way was the theme for “Thirteen Years in the Making” A New Years Even Wedding on December 31, 2010.
I was devastated to learn Frank passed away suddenly from cancer on December 24, 2015, just one week before his 5 year wedding anniversary. Frank was warm, energetic and had a larger that life spirit. He was the only groom I’d ever witnessed who shook hands, kissed and hugged his guests as he processed down the aisle. It was priceless!
Witnessing Frank and Colleen fall even deeper in love on their wedding night was something I will always remember. Many are confused but you see the most important things at a wedding aren’t the flowers, music, lighting or midnight balloon drops. It’s being sounded by the ones you love and those who love you.
So for all those who were able to ring in the new year with a loved one count your blessings and never take a moment for granted. I ask you to make it a goal to celebrate life in some way, however small, every day. For tomorrow is not always promised but it's those special moments will last forever in your heart.
I will miss you dearly and dedicate every celebration I plan in 2016 to you Frank.
