It’s already half way through October and winter will be here before you know it! Coat alterations can take time to work through with heavyweight fabrics and often multiple linings - definitely good to leave time for these! This long blue coat needed to have the sleeves shortened and the belt loops removed! It’s ready to wear now!

Working with Dylin and Evan was so special! Evan’s grandmother was one of the first people to teach me to sew when I was a young child and this felt like a very full circle moment to play a tiny part in this special family’s celebration so many years later!
We worked on Dylin’s gown alterations and also some tweaks to Evan’s jacket!

Absolutely what we are here for!
We added tacks along the waistline to lift this full skirt, so it still had desired volume without getting caught in the wheels of Stephanie’s chair.

Thrilled to share a few shots of my gorgeous sister in law from her wedding!
We did quite a few alterations to her gown: Hem, add cups, adjust bodice, bustle, and add straps.
We also custom made her fingertip length veil and incorporated the lace applique we removed from the hem so it seamlessly coordinated with the gown.

Last week was the Washington County Ag. Fair and I got to read commentaries while these children modeled the sewing projects they constructed! They did a great job!
I’m grateful to support the Pennsylvania 4-H program, as it is where I first learned to sew!
