I've been dying to use this navy blue and orange fabric I found a while back at G Street Fabrics & Home Decorating Center , and when a client wanted a new blouse and skirt to match her various existing wardrobe pieces, it was perfect!!

I used an unbleached cotton gauze in both the skirt and top to give the outfit continuity, and found the perfect home for a vintage cream cotton with cut out details as well! I cannot wait to see what she does with this custom order 😍😍

Well, I have been absolutely terrible about posting recently, but I have been busy knocking out custom orders!

So happy to get this blue outfit (to match the existing blue and black bodice) ready for opening weekend at MDRF; a new custom 16-panel skirt for an existing client (the owner of the gorgeous red and gold pieces from last year!); AND the deep teal, maroon, and brown outfit for my bestie of 30 years.

I love the freedom of bringing individual pieces to shows, yet the creative license of matching pieces together - especially with all the contrasting fabrics I use - is something extra special. So a huge, huge thank you to everyone who trusts me with your garb!!

In my ✨colorful✨ era 💙💛🧡💚❤️💜🩷

I love working with fun colors, which is one of the perks of not using as much home decor and upholstery textiles, and of using lots of vintage!

Neutrals and black pieces always go quickly, so I try to source and create them quickly, but left to my own devices I will always go BOLD 😂

Finally sitting back down to my machine in over a week. The chaos is real, and my motivation is low. The past three weeks have been incredibly difficult in our household, as we lost a dear, dear friend and went through some scary follow-up biopsies.

Trying to figure out how to best maximize my time before next weekend's Mythmakers Market, and no matter what, trying to find joy in every day.

I wish I had more beauty and whimsy to show you all - today, it's just labors of love ❤️❤️
