The Fancy Lane Weddings Admin will be delayed with responses and new projects. This is because I, Fancy, have and will continue to focus on my husband during his in patient procedure.

It has taken me three months to get to this point (the day before the procedure) to openly speak about it.

My husband is the strongest of us two. So.... This is a lot.

I am viewing it half glass full. He has a higher chance to heal faster and not lose mobility nerve functions.

Today is also my son’s birthday, so mixed emotions....

I thank you for giving the admin department grace for the delays.

My husband and son are THE biggest supporters through the toughest company development journeys. It is a good chance that you have seen them at a wedding or two. There were some years that were extremely hard, and they were my motivators to bring me back to the why of it all. As the birthday of the company sneaks up on us, an overflowing amount of words developed to acknowledge the company growth, reflection and partnerships.

I would have no purpose without the word of God.

Pinch Me! We have the wonderful opportunity to share Joe and Grace's story at Oak Tree Manor.

Our excitement begins with their couple photos. Sophia perfectly captured their vision, making it incredibly difficult for us to choose our favorite engagement shot.

We are big fans of black and white photography. Color is great, but a detailed story told in shades of black and white is our favorite type of art.

As you may already know, we are intentional about our outfit and venue selections for couple sessions. This way, we can seamlessly incorporate your photos into the wedding decor without any color clashes.

If we haven't made it clear yet, Sophia truly made it tough for us to narrow down our choices. Their beautiful images will feature prominently in their custom guest book, cocktail hour centerpieces, welcome sign, and welcome table. We’ll be seeing them everywhere! 😁

As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has supported Fancy Lane Weddings. Nervousness the night before and the day of the wedding is a completely natural feeling, even for the most prepared (type A) couples.

Here are a few tips to help keep those nerves at bay and ensure you can fully enjoy every moment of this special occasion:

1. Take Deep Breaths.😤
Breathing exercises can work wonders to calm your mind. Inhale deeply, hold for a few seconds, and exhale slowly. This simple technique helps center your thoughts and reduce anxiety.

2. Stay Present.🙂
Focus on the present moment rather than worrying about what might happen.

3. Connect with Loved Ones.🤗
Your wedding party are your distractors and innovators. Surrounding yourself with friends and family who bring you comfort and joy keeps the support and laughter going.

4. Prepare a Playlist.🎵🎶🎵
Create a playlist of your favorite songs that uplift and energize you. Music has a powerful way of altering moods and can serve as the perfect backdrop as you get ready.

5. Reflect on Your Journey.✏️📖
Take a moment to reflect on the journey that brought you to this day. We keep a journal, here, at Fancy Lane Weddings. It is okay to write out your thoughts and feelings.

6. Accept Imperfection.💞
Be willing to accept that unexpected moments will happen (commonly involving family). This is okay. We cannot replicate these memories. It will only happen this one time.

As excitement and anticipation build, it is only natural for one if not all of these tips to be utilized on your day. Don't steer away from what is the priority. You have each other and your memories that you experience together, so have fun! Have so much fun! We are only getting older.
