Happy New Year and welcome to another new member of Les Dames DC! Today, we're celebrating Ana Mejia, chef-owner of Mena’s Boys Gourmet. Ana is a Honduran entrepreneur who graduated with a degree in culinary arts in 2021. Mena’s Boys Gourmet makes and sells "encurtidos de cebollas," or Honduran pickled onions, along with other pickles and preserves; it also provides catering, music entertainment and bartending for events. Ana also works as Executive Administrator for the nonprofit National Latino Farmers and Ranchers and serves as Secretary and Board of Trustees member at the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School. We look forward to meeting and learning more about you, Ana!

Mena’s Boys is a pickling company that prepares traditional pickled vegetables that are prepared in small batches. I named the company after my two children, for whom I prepare pickled vegetables and serve them at the dinner table to accent our home cooked meals. All of the products are sold in glass jars and will be purchased at various markets and online.
