🥃🤍 A Little Bourbon, A Little Southern Luck & A Whole Lotta Love 🤍🥃

The night before Will & Madison said “I do,” we had one very important piece of wedding business to handle…

We had to dig up the bourbon, y’all. 😂🥃

About a month before the wedding, a bottle of bourbon was buried upside down at their venue — an old Southern tradition that says burying the bourbon will keep the rain away and bring good weather on your wedding day.

Is it superstition? Maybe.

Are we willing to take chances when it comes to wedding-day weather? Absolutely not. Bury the bourbon. 😂👏🏼

But watching Will & Madison dig that bottle back up the night before their wedding was one of those little moments that reminded me why I love what I do so much.

A month earlier, they buried it while counting down the days…and suddenly, here we were. The planning was done. The timeline was ready. Tomorrow they would wake up, get dressed, stand in front of the people they love most and become husband and wife. 🤍

So we dug up that bourbon, poured a little Southern good luck, and toasted to everything that was waiting for them the next day. 🥃

These are the moments I love getting to be part of as a coordinator. Not just fixing dresses, wrangling groomsmen and keeping everybody on schedule — but getting a front-row seat to the little traditions and memories my couples will hopefully talk about for years to come.

Here’s to Will & Madison — may your marriage be full of love, laughter, a little sass, plenty of sunshine after the storms, and always someone beside you to raise a glass with. 🤍🥃

And for the record… when Southern tradition says bury the bourbon, we don’t ask questions. We grab a shovel. 😂

This weekend was truly one for the books.

This coordinator is tired, and my back has given out, but I could not be more grateful to be able to see the joy and pure stories of love that I have seen.

We are right in the absolute thick of wedding season, and no end in sight anytime soon and I could not be more grateful for it!

Stay tuned for some awesome traditions, some beautiful love stories and some real unforgettable experiences. Not only all that, but for each and every person who has trusted me to help on their big days! ❤️

Sunday I had the honor and privilege to work along side a new found friend, Marina with The Royal Ribbon to do a middle eastern wedding!

I definitely thought that we knew how to party.. however this was a COMPLETELY new level and a experience i will never ever forget!

Watching the culture, meeting the people and seeing it all unfold.. truly an experience.

Big thank you to Marina for letting me join in for your team for the day, and hope to get to help you in the future for sure! I had so much fun!

Way more pictures and things to come, however April & Co is off to another wedding today after my sweet couple Will and Madi's wedding yesterday in Belhaven, NC!

These two hold such a special place in my heart. Madi and I have been in planning stages since probably january, and to see it call come together was just so beautiful!

There are so many beautiful moments I get to witness as a wedding coordinator… but the first look with Dad gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 🥹🤍

There’s just something about standing off to the side, trying to keep it together, while a dad turns around and sees his little girl as a bride for the very first time.

The pause.
The look on his face.
The instant tears.
And that hug that somehow says everything words can’t. 😭

Meanwhile, I’m over there pretending I’m just making sure everything is running on schedule when really I’m fighting for my LIFE trying not to cry. 😂

I may be there to fluff the dress, fix the veil, keep everyone on time, and make sure every little detail is handled—but getting a front-row seat to moments like these is one of the greatest privileges of what I do.

Because for just a few minutes, it’s not about timelines, vendors, or what’s happening next.

It’s just a dad looking at his little girl and realizing she’s a bride. 🤍

And yes… I cry at your weddings too. I’ve just gotten really good at hiding it. 🥹😂
