Digging back into our southern BBQ tour. smokersdelightbbqllc had some amazing brisket out of a tent at the Pensacola fair grounds. I love mobile and tent BBQ. Since we have a mobile BBQ trailer of our own, we always try to support!!

Day three of the Southern BBQ tour saw two stops.
The first was at Gas and Grub BBQ. While there I ordered a Pork Steak. It was tasty but very heavy on the heat.
Gas and Grub is located is Richland Mississippi. Richland is north of Jackson.
A later stop at J Rodger's for a quick look around. J Rodger's Bar-B-Que and Soul Food is located in Saraland Alabama, just north of Mobile.

More from our Southern BBQ tour. More from The blues city of Clarksdale, Mississippi.
We went to the Ground Zero Blues Club. Ground zero is co-owned by Morgan Freeman. Ground zero offered a delicious pork sandwich. They have an offset smoker out front that they smoke on daily.
In the video, the young man singing is a student at the Clarksdale school of blues.

Only a few more days of tour memories left...😀

We returned earlier this week from a southern BBQ/food tour. When possible we tried to talk to owners and our masters. Other times we just ate Q and moved on.

As a lover of Blues music and history, we made our first stop in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Clarksdale is home of the Crossroads.
Our fist BBQ visit was to Abe's BBQ. Abe's was opened in 1924. Abe was an immigrant from Greece. He bought Abe's moved to to the crossroads and the rest is history.
In the first picture I am with the current owner and manager Phyllis. Phyllis is Abe's Daughter. Phyllis had also been a kindergarten teacher for thirty years.
You can see the importance of Blues in the interior pictures, as well as the picture of Abe's sign and the memorial at the Crossroads.

We've had people arrive at our restaurant Cynful Smokehouse and Creamery in Cars,Trucks, Tractors, Semis,side by sides, and a variety of other modes of transportation.
But never by house...😀. While this house didn't stop for BBQ it was pretty neat watching them move it down the highway and turn the corner.

It is Christmas meal pick up night. 4-6pm.

pulled pork
Brisket
1 rack of ribs
Quarts of ice cream
And bottles of sauce!
