I don’t think I’ll ever get over this getting ready space. 🤍

A cabin tucked into the woods, the prettiest little wedding details, and THAT diamond window. It made the perfect backdrop for everything, from photographing all of her details to her actually getting ready in front of it.

Easily one of my favorite getting ready spaces I’ve ever photographed. The light, the wood, the window… it was just so good. 😍

What happens if it rains on your wedding day? ☔️

First, rain doesn’t mean we’re giving up on outdoor photos.

We always bring clear umbrellas with us so, as long as it isn’t absolutely pouring, we can still sneak outside and get photos like these. And honestly? Rainy wedding photos can be SO pretty.

One of the reasons we intentionally build portrait time into multiple parts of your wedding day is so we have more than one opportunity to get photos of just the two of you. If you’re doing a first look, we set aside time for portraits then, and we also build in another round of portraits around golden hour when the light is at its best.

That becomes especially helpful on rainy wedding days. If it’s raining during your first look, there’s a chance it’ll clear by golden hour. If rain rolls in later, we may have already gotten beautiful outdoor portraits earlier in the day.

And because we’re with you for most of the day, we can keep an eye on the weather and take advantage of those little breaks when they happen.

If we suddenly get 10 or 15 minutes without rain? We can pivot and sneak you outside for a few more photos.

We’ll also make use of covered porches, overhangs, clear umbrellas, and whatever your venue gives us to work with.

Basically, we don’t look at a rainy forecast and panic. We plan your timeline with multiple opportunities for portraits, bring what we need, watch the weather, and adjust throughout the day.

Because sometimes a little rain ends up giving you some of the cutest photos anyway. ☔️🤍

A little peek at Bryawna + Blaine’s wedding day 🤍

We had so much fun with these two! Their entire day felt so relaxed and well-paced, with plenty of time to actually enjoy each part of it without feeling like we were rushing from one thing to the next.

We always try to build our wedding timelines with plenty of breathing room, but one thing that made their day even smoother was how prepared everything was when we arrived. Details were laid out and ready to photograph, everyone knew where they needed to be, and everything just flowed so seamlessly.

A little preparation beforehand + a timeline with room to breathe can make SUCH a difference in how your wedding day actually feels.

The cutest little getting ready moment 🤍💙

I loved the blue bridesmaid pajamas paired with the bride’s white “Mrs. Tucker” set. Such a fun little detail, especially with their wedding colors.

And this staircase at Colewood Acres was the perfect spot for them to hang out and grab a few PJ photos. The natural light throughout this venue is SO good. ✨
