My name is Hemang and I am an event planner and photographer based in Maui, HI, but plan and shoot across the states.

I go against the grain so you can expect your event/photos to be truly unique. Hemang Saraiya is originally from Los Angeles but now is a Maui-based event planner and photographer with 10+ years of experience, whose passion to document the world around him started when he was handed his first disposable camera at the age of 5. He also plans and executes events for a variety of clients and purposes

with a focus in the South Asian, LGBTQ+ weddings and events space. Today, Hemang's portfolio has diversified through his many excursions around the world and through his participation in unique moments. These include fashion shows, weddings, engagements, brand & charity events. The work is vivid, bright, crisp and provides a unique point of view that "goes against the grain." Each event and client execution is one of a kind and does not mimic his past efforts. As a personal goal, Hemang posted one photo a day from 2012-2016, not only to invigorate his photography passion even farther but also to motivate himself to make each day matter.

Nick & Lyna were such a fun couple to shoot. Nick wanted to surprise his girlfriend by asking a “stranger” to snap a few photos.

The surprise was authentic and the love came through in every photo. Honored to capture these moments for them!

Welcoming home the newlyweds with an aarti (welcome ceremony). What a whirlwind of a week it's been! I'm forever honored & humbled that my brother & bhabi (sister in law) entrusted me to plan their wedding extravaganza.

It was a year in the making, 200 people from all over the world & hundreds of emails written to get this done. Many thanks to all the uncles & aunts, friends & the groomsmen who went above & beyond as well!

Bittersweet that it's over, but ecstatic by all our family & friends sharing their love & compliments about their time.
