If you find yourself on a drive that is a bit longer than you would like, at least fire up something good to listen to.

Today I am recommending the latest latest installment in my (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live series, found only on Mixcloud.

I do wish the app would display the artist name and song title on the display in my car, but at least it is doing my silly artwork justice.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, friends!

We will be putting show #295 of our long running (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live livestream series out there today, starting at 3:48 PM ET, only on Mixcloud.

This will be a brand new show, unlike the moldy artwork that is accompanying this post.

I remember creating this promotional art piece way back in 2020, and thinking it was the coolest thing I had done up to that point...

It was certainly the most elaborate promo I had done up to this time, with all of the 8 track tapes representing songs I often play in my sets, as well as copious amounts of silly copy.

Enjoy both this recycled artwork, and more importantly, today's new show.

I hope to see you all there!

P.S. - I have highlighted three of my favorite Halloween mixes on my Mixcloud landing page, please feel free to check those out as you wait for the new program to begin!

I had a great time doing show #293 yesterday! Thanks to the many of you who joined in, here is what it sounded like for those that could not attend.

See you next Friday for #294!

(This is the cover art for the show on Mixcloud... Facebook wants me to start paying $14.99 a month to include more than 2 direct links to things in the same month, which I am a bit reluctant to do...)

Please visit me on Mixcloud and check the show out, it will be the first choice on my page.

Please join us as we offer up show #292 in our (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live series, heard only on Mixcloud!

Here is the archive from yesterday's show. It felt good to be back on the virtual airwaves, I hope everybody listening live enjoyed the set aside much as I did. Already plotting out what I want to do in show #292, see you soon.

Hello once again, dear friends, welcome to our 291st livestream on Mixcloud! As is usually the case, today's set list will focus mostly on 80s alternative, but be ready for random detours into almost any era or genre if the feeling strikes or the listeners make requests that pique my interest. Pleas...

Hello dear friends -

I have decided to take the day off tomorrow (September 4th), and as a result, there will be no new (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live program this week on Mixcloud.

I will be back on the air with a new show next Friday, September 11th, at the normal start time.

Please jump on Mixcloud tomorrow at 7:00 PM Central time and join my good friend Badger Kelley as he presents the latest episode of his Radio SRO/Groovy Train livestream double feature! I promise you that you will have a great time!

DJ Badger can be heard on Mixcloud, or you can go to www.radioSRO.com !

Take care everybody, have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend, and please join me for episode #291 next Friday! Rock on.

This is interesting - Another account on Mixcloud has had one of my Halloween mixes from youtube up in audio form for 4 years.

In the description, they say something like "as heard on Bozradio..."

I am at work, and as such do not have time to dig deeper into this mystery, weird and stupid stuff.

Generic Male DJs Halloween Mash-Up Mix, as presented on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVDEuDihcl4). There is an updated version of this mix on MixCloud (https://www.mixcloud.com/genericmaledjs/halloween-mashup-party-mix-revived/) but the YouTube version is the version that was played on B...

**Before we get started with this post, please do not tell my mom I used her picture, and modified it a bit to make it more festive!**

My mom turned 87 years old today, so like any good son, I dropped by for a visit. Here is a brief excerpt from one discussion we had:

Me: "I am struggling a bit with which songs to consider for the first hour of my (Mostly) 80s Friday Happy Hour Live, heard only on Mixcloud. Do you have any suggestions?"

Mom: "First of all, it seems like you avoid bands like Ministry in the first half of most of your sets... why? Since you asked, I would suggest some of the old standards from R.E.M., The Bangles and perhaps some Thomas Dolby that you have not run into the ground."

Me: "Okay, wow, you have some very specific thoughts about how the show should start!"

Mom: "Well, yes - And also, since you asked, I would work some Allman Brothers in early, as well as a couple of old Country standards, the ones I have listened to for 50+ years."

Me: "That might be a good thing - what else have you got?"

Mom: "I would also go with a couple of other songs that are about 124 BPM, which would give you a good follow to that Ministry song we talked about earlier... perhaps some Red Flag, Secession or something similar?"

Mom continued: "Also, I keep hearing that one Northern Pikes song that you used to always play on your old Radionomy station in my head, go with that too. And them pull up some XTC that you have not played in a couple of years"

Me: "Okay!"

Mom: "Lastly, include another of your silly AI theme songs, perhaps make this pay a slight homage to one of my favorite artists who left us this week."

Folks - That is my mom - Always there for me when I need her the most!

I hope to see you all at 3:46 PM ET!
