Another one in the books!
It was a beautiful day of buhurt at the Ventura Melee Megabowl on Saturday. Seven teams battled it out to decide who would be named Megabowl Champions.
Congratulations go to Fresno's Order of The Gauntlet and Rose who swept the competition without losing a round. Team USA Captain, Dominus fighter, and Vagabond founder, J***y Porter joined there ranks for their Megabowl campaign and they were unmatched.
Finishing with only one loss the Phoenix Blood Eagles took home silver. Only losing rounds to Gauntlet and Rose, the Blood Eagles did not give up a round to any of the other teams at the tournament.
Third place finish went to Ordo Draconis of Los Angeles and Orange County. The dragons fought fiercely to clinch the bronze going three rounds against the other two southern California teams, LA Golden Knights and Santa Barbara Soldados, who finished forth and fifth respectively.
The Las Vegas Death Dealers finished sixth with a win over the San Luis Obispo Manticores. The manticores finished in last place but nearly upset the 4th place team by taking round from them for the last match of the day.
Alex Das from the Soldados was voted Most Valuable Fighter by the team captains with Kyle Olson, who traveled from Montana to join the Blood Eagles roster as a mercenary, receiving an honorable mention.
Well done and hard fought to teams and fighters!
We also had nearly 400 spectators attend the tournament. They enthusiastically cheered on the battles and were able to interact with teams and fighters during our intermission. Many thanks to all those who joined us! Along with great gratitude going out to the marshals, team support, event support and who helped make the Ventura Melee Megabowl a reality and success! Already excited for 2026 (or maybe sooner 👀)
