Calling all BIKERS!

The CEO of Tunnel to Towers, Frank Siller, will be walking from the Pentagon to Shanksville, PA, and then finish at the World Trade Center.

This SUNDAY we are going to give him a huge send off!

Bikes need to be in place by 0800 at the Arlington County Fire Station 5 (1750 S Hayes St, Arlington, VA 22202).

The event will be from 0800-1000 and then at 1000 we will ride off to get the walkers going.

Frank Siller wants as many motorcycles here as possible.

After a year absence due to the pandemic, the annual Bow Tie Ride is back on Sunday, June 6!
Meet up will be at the Sheetz in Haymarket at 9am with KSU at 930am SHARP.
The route will take us out west on Route 55 to Front Royal where we will jump on Fort Valley Road - 40+ miles of the best road in the area. We will take this to Luray for a bio stop at Cooters and then over the mountains on 29/211 into New Market for lunch at the home of the best fried chicken to be had, The Southern Kitchen.
This is a destination ride although I will be returning over both mountain ranges through the Shenandoah National Forest and am happy to lead anyone who wants to ride with me.
There are practically NO highways on this ride - all twisty country roads some of which are challenging.
I ask that people who are going to attend email me at Clifford [email protected] so I can let the restaurant know.
This ride will NOT go in the rain. No fun and too dangerous.

In the past year with the pandemic we have lost a few member's and seen an increase in su***de and addiction. I will ask that for Christmas we put all the drama behind us from the year 2020! We had issues with relationships, clubs / groups. We also lost and gained friends due to what we will call COVID! Starting on Christmas Day we forgive and repent all actions that took place during the Pandemic. We look forward to rides starting as soon as Jan 1st. Our first ride will be a repeat of Resurgence on March 27th! If anyone wants to continue the drama created during the Pandemic! Please leave our group and we will look forward to seeing you in the Spring! This brotherhood is about Love and Prayers !

ABOUT THE MISSION:

PGR has been invited to stand a flag-line during the dignified transfer from the hearse to the funeral home for Capt Moises A. Navas, USMC, KIA and provide an es**rt to his family from their hotel to ANC the next day. Capt Navas was killed in action on March 8, 2020, in Iraq. During his years of service, Capt Navas was awarded a Purple Heart; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Combat Action Ribbon; two Good Conduct Medals; Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; Humanitarian Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Medal; and four Service Deployment Ribbons. Capt Navas is survived by his wife and four young children. Due to security reasons the remaining details for this mission will be shared during the briefing.

I have been asked by Frank C. Proctor Jr. to organize a Celebration of Life ride for his beloved wife, Lisa Anne Proctor, who left us way too soon a few months back. It is an honor to be able to do this for Frank.
The ride will take place on Saturday, July 25. Rain date will be July 26.
Patriot Harley Davidson has graciously agreed to let us use their parking lot as a staging area. Meet up will be at 9am with KSU at 930a.
Our destination will be the Expectation Church located at 11924 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Va. We will be met there by one of the Pastors who will help us celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.
All riders, all bikes and all cages are welcome to join us on this ride.
Please come on out and show Frank how much Lisa Anne meant to all of us.

Planning a lil trip to Solomons Island on Sunday for lunch, KSU at 9am as it's a 3 hour hike to get there via the route I've picked. We will be having lunch at the Pier Restaurant, I confirmed they are open. We can also visit the Tiki bar which is just around the corner and they take CASH ONLY. I believe many of you know Frank and Lisa Ann Proctor. They are family members of the biker community and Frank is also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Better people you will not find. . Lisa Ann is very ill, fighting stage 4 cancer which has spread to her brain. Frank has been by her side in the hospital and at home around the clock. He has not been able to work. Sadly, Lisa Ann's illness has exhausted all of their financial resources. They now need our help. I am organizing a fund raising ride for this coming Sunday, February 23 to help out Frank and Lisa Ann. Patriot Harley Davidson has graciously agreed to let us stage in their parking lot but this is not a HOG ride. This ride is for anyone who wants to help these so deserving people. Meet up at PHD will be around 1130a, with KSU at noon. I am suggesting that every rider contribute $25 and passengers $10. If you can afford to donate more that would be greatly appreciated. People that don't wish to ride are totally welcome to come to PHD by car and join us. The goal here is to help members of our motorcycle family. Our plan is to ride to Inova Fair Oaks hospital where Lisa Ann is staying and put on a show of bikes for her and Frank. Cheryl Thompson has graciously agreed to make signs that we can carry which will proclaim our love for them. We will take pictures and carry them up to Frank and Lisa. Dale Bird Jr is looking into setting up a Facebook funding page. PLEASE share this with as many people as you can so that we can get a maximum turnout. This is what we as bikers do best. Thanks.

This Sunday at 1430 there will be a birthday drive-by parade for a WWII veteran who will be celebrating her 100th birthday. Details below. I'm personally not affiliated with it, just sharing.

The Honor Flight Top of Virginia organization is hosting a “birthday drive-by parade” for a WWII Vet who turns 100 this Sunday (3 January 2021).This Navy veteran, Genevieve Desmarais, served in WWII. Her husband is also a WWII veteran and turns 96 in a few weeks. They’re asking that we start lining up at 1430hrs at the Holmes Run Acres Recreation Center, 3451 Gallows Rd, Fall Church. This should be a very short parade, since they reside across the street at 3450 Gallows Rd., but one that allows us to demonstrate our gratitude for the service our veterans have provided. These men and women answered the call to serve…the least we can do is let them know we recognize and appreciate their service.
The weather sunday is looking good.
