Community doesn’t just happen.
You have to give people reasons to come together.
When I started HomeTown Festivals, I kept seeing the same type of community event repeated with a different name. There wasn’t much that made me think, “We’ve never experienced anything like this here before.”
and I kept wondering, why not?
Why should you have to drive hours away or spend a lot of money to experience something different?
Mardi Gras celebrations happen all over the country. Traditional Christmas markets are held around the world. Experiences like these bring people together and create memories.
So why can’t we create our own versions right here at home?
That became a big part of what HomeTown Festivals is about.
we want families to have something they can experience together without the cost of admission being the reason they stay home.
We want a small business or artisan to meet people who may become customers long after the event is over.
We want local nonprofits to gain more than a donation. We want people to learn who they are, understand the services they provide, and maybe even become their next volunteer.
And we want you to leave one of our events happy you came, feeling like you belonged and already wondering what we’re planning next.
Because community requires participation.
You have to show up. Try something different. Talk to someone you don’t know. Support the people around you.
You never know who you’ll meet or what connection you’ll make.
That’s why HomeTown Festivals is more than events.
We’re creating opportunities for people to experience something new, right here at home.
Putting the unity back in community.
