Maybe you're like I used to be where I'd admire someone's gifting that seemed easy to capitalize from, ie cake decorating or cooking. I'd think that if I had their gift it would be easy to step out and start a profitable business, but the truth is that it takes courage no matter what the gift is to step out and go to the next level. Take courage by taking a step forward in whatever you're great at.

I've put my entire hope into the pursuit of my passion and my purpose. I've never done this quite to the extent of this recent adventure. I've involved my entire family, and for the most part, I have their support. I'm even willing to make big changes that I was resistant to make in the past. Because I know my greatest strengths are in administration, organization, and facilitation, I did what I felt compelled by God to do and that was simply to apply for the position. I've been asked to describe what I'll do if God opens the door I believe will open wide for me and all I can say is that I can only do what I know to do... to take this step that is right before me. When there are further steps I need to take, I trust that God will lead me at that time. For now, I'm obedient in the instructions that are clear right now.

God has been sending a consistent message lately, and that is "prepare." Today, I read an excerpt from Oral Roberts University's President, Dr. Bill Wilson's book, Generation Z: Born for the Storm. He said, "Be ready to step through the doors when they open. Purpose requires preparation."

Are you prepared for the next move of God in your life? Have you been obeying His small instructions while waiting for your big assignment?

It may seem cliché, but I have found after years of contemplation that it's true... your gift can be seen in those things that you do without being asked, that thing you'll do diligently but without the need to get paid. What are you passionate and great at? My gift is Event Coordinating and I can say that confidently and unapologetically. I was looking for my gift to be more like the person next to me, something more tangible like art, music, speaking, or baking , but my greatest service comes through organizing events with all of its knitty gritty details. This fuels me like nothing else does and it blesses others at the same time.
