A look into last week at The Ritz-Carlton Oʻahu, Turtle Bay for our annual team retreat 🌺

It was a week full of sunshine, time to slow down, and R&R. We spent time connecting with our work ʻohana and their ʻohanas and enjoying plenty of adventure - including a day exploring Kualoa Ranch.

We’re so proud of every member of our team and all the hard work, care, and dedication they bring to DeSilva every day. DeSilva is what it is because of the people behind it.🤍

🌺Meet Mele Coloma! She’s our newest Operations Manager.🌺

Born and raised on the North Shore, Mele has been working in Hawaii’s tourism industry for over 20 years, specializing in tours and transportation across the four major Hawaiian islands: O’ahu, Maui, Kaua’i, and Hawai’i Island. Having come from a family of watermen, she grew up fishing, paddling, surfing, and spending as much time in the ocean as possible. She’s a lifelong animal lover and proud mom to four rescue dogs.

When Mele is not working, you’ll usually find her enjoying the outdoors with her daughter and four-legged family. She loves exploring everything from Mauka (the mountains) to Makai (the ocean). Mele embodies the Aloha spirit and looks forward to helping our clients experience the best of Hawai’i!☀️

We recently hosted a wonderful program at Grand Wailea, Maui where guest enjoyed a relaxed and creative morning together.🎨

A local instructor led the experience, guiding our guests as they painted a Hawaiian sunset with their own personal touch. Set beneath shaded umbrellas, it was such a peaceful way to slow down, connect with one another, and enjoy the beauty of the island.🌺
