I’ve been officiating for all kinds of couples located all around New York State for 11 years now. While the Syracuse-area is my primary client-base, I’ve had the pleasure of serving couples as far east as Albany, Rochester to the west, and as far north as Alex Bay and down south to Binghamton. And time and time again, more often than not, couples tell me that the officiant who they connected with (just before inquiring with me) charges much higher fees than I do. My approach on fees is simple: with the cumulative cost of venue/reception, photographer/videographer, cake/dessert bar, flowers, DJ, dress & suit—or dress & dress (or suit & suit)—the individual who is responsible for seeing that you legally tie the knot doesn’t need to charge a high fee.
