congratulations SEDONA & CHRIS on an amazing wedding day ❤️ >>> it was truly one of the sweetest and every detail was so beautiful!

it was extra special for me to be a part of this day since SEDONA taught my boys how to swim when they were teeny tiny and spent time with them when we needed a sitter. her mom has made nearly all our cakes for birthdays and big occasions (including newcomer WYATT's) ...and her brother shared a love for cars with DREW when they were just teenagers with cool cars 🤗

i also loved getting to meet CHRIS ... both of them were a complete joy to be around and photograph!

last Sunday was the most beautiful wedding day with Susan & Stephen ... i wasn't aware of what i was in for when i met them at a favorite Boba Tea shop a few months ago. they are the most fun and the sweetest people ❤️ and their day reflected their love for each other, their love for friends and family AND their love for having fun!

what wedding is complete without bubbles, flower men, ring agents, a few amazing outfits, a formal tea ceremony, custom tattoos, a whole newspaper headlining "The Big Day" and, of course, lion dancers! ...and almost forgot about the t-shirt toss 🤗

i am completely overwhelmed with this one, in a good way ...it was a ride! and so honored to be with these two on their day! congratulations once again to two beautiful, lovely humans ....who definitely know how to party. 🎉

one week ago today, REBECCA & SPENCER were married at the beautiful Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington 🌊

i loved how their relaxed and go-with-the-flow approach made their day easy to enjoy and full of laughter. they included the cutest little people and just the right amount of blue ... and the most beautiful oyster shell place cards 🙌

REBECCA's dress and hair were stunning. i may have mentioned her hair more than a few times, but it really was perfection. SPENCER had the cutest response to seeing her walk down the aisle .. and that's just a small testament to all the cute moments i witnessed.

phew y'all ❤️ KATIE & RYAN's June wedding day at The Distillery was not only beautiful but just the sweetest, sweetest day! so many emotions and so much joy too. when two people are intentionally soaking up every piece of their day, including all the fun photos, it makes me even more honored to be present with them and their most important people. it was also a little extra special to me to see some of my favorite people too, since the bride is from my hometown.

i LOVED RYAN's reaction to seeing KATIE walk down the aisle, and i LOVED seeing so many dance floor smiles and proud parents and grandparents just overjoyed to be there! PS, give me all the green suits and ring boxes and i'll be a happy photographer forever!

JESS & CORY were married last Saturday >>> May 25th at the beautiful Highgrove Estate in Fuquay Varina ❤️

i love seeing such a long-awaited day finally come together! these two created such a perfectly stunning day with a touch of romance (the dress—the hair) and amazing colors! (hello flowers next to her "dusty blue") and they were so happy to be living it out ... they truly wanted to cherish every moment and were completely sad when the night ended. JESS has the most Disney eyes i have ever seen and they were smiling all day and tearing up after their private last dance because she was so grateful for the celebration that they experienced with their people.

i am so blessed to witness all the smiles and joy with them. they with me a motto they had adopted at the beginning of their engagement ... "rain or shine" and not only was the weather "shine" ... their whole selves were lit up when they were together. and it's not even mushy 😋 ..it was just genuine and sweet!

^ that’s me in my jean jacket. i like to wear it with everything.

i love learning and i’ve always needed a creative outlet. i didn’t always have a strong foundation in photography, but phew, i took a lot of pictures! i did go to school for graphic design and have always enjoyed art. i doodled a lot ... mostly of cats ... and i love to talk. random, i know.

back to the photography thing ... as most moms who get a nice camera at some point after having kids, i decided it would be a fun challenge to learn how to really use my nice camera. so i started obsessing and learning all the photography stuff. and it didn’t take long for me to find a love for photographing other people. and what i think i love the most about photographing other people is capturing natural connections and fun interactions. it’s a common theme with photographers these days, but there’s a reason for this. having an image of you and your loved ones that feels natural and genuine is an amazing treasure. i love capturing that for people. so that’s what i try to do, each and every time.

i currently focus on several areas of important moments in people’s lives ... families (older & brand new), high school seniors, couples & weddings.
