Rest in Peace Little Bill Englehart.
From Rod Cook: I just got the sad news that Little Bill Englehart passed away last night. I first played with Bill in June of 2002 and became a part time Blue Note and then a regular member of his trio shortly after that until he retired in 2020. Bill was a northwest icon forming possibly the first rock and roll band in Tacoma in 1957 (or was it ‘55?). In 1959 at the age of nineteen he had a national hit with I Love An Angel but the bulk of his career was spent performing locally in the Puget Sound region. It was an honor and a pleasure to play music with him. We played a wide variety of music together. I learned a lot from him and have missed playing with him these last few years. This is a sad day. I will always love Bill. RIP my friend.
Little Bill in this case is Bill Englehart, also known as Washington's "Ambassador of Bass Guitar."
