Lets welcome Samantha back in front of the camera.. I used to photograph her a lot over the years. Whenever I had an idea or wanted to test something, she would come in and rock it. She got married and then life, so its been a bit since she has been in front of a camera.. I reached out yesterday with a concept and convinced her to give it a go (didnt take much :) ).

Lets not make it 8 or so years again until the next time :D

This image not only represents their love for one another... it also represents perseverance. You see, when we checked the weather for this trip, it was supposed to be in the 50s. So they dressed for the 50s. To our surprise, when we got there, it was 22 with snow on the ground (bonus, she has never seen snow). On top of that, there were 40mph+ wind gusts. Makes for a fun portrait session on a mountain :D

Dressing for 50 and dressing for 22 and wind/snow are COMPLETELY different. Add to that, higher elevation than they are used to being from Florida means less oxygen in the air, which impacts hiking to the top of a mountain. Snow/ice on the trail add to this to make the hike a bit more difficult.

With all those obstacles and aided by a quick stop to Goodwill for warmer clothes... They made it to the top and we got some amazing portraits. You would never know it was 22 outside from this :D
