There will be a fireworks display today at Lasting Legacy Park during the Veterans Day Ceremony.

At the regular meeting of the Campbell County Commissioners, Thursday, November 7, 2024, the commissioners approved resolution 3084. The resolution allows for fireworks display to be presented on Veterans Day. The resolution reads:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners, Campbell County, Wyoming, that enforcement of the prohibition of the sale and use of fireworks as provided by Resolution of this Board dated July 9, 1985, shall be stayed for the period of November 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the purpose of facilitating a firework display to commemorate our Veterans.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the commercial sale of fireworks will remain banned, and the use of fireworks during the time period outlined above shall be limited:

1. A display presented for the Veteran’s Day Ceremony at Lasting Legacy Park.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after 1:01 p.m. November 11, 2024, the prohibition prescribed by the Resolution of July 9, 1985, shall be in full force and effect.
