Guest-Performing live at this summer's Battle of the Bifanas, is trilingual lyricist and recording artist MAGÏN! B MAGÏN hails from Northern California, his parents originate from the Azores Island of Terceira (Portugal). He commonly incorporates Portuguese & Latin cultures/styles into his music to create a truly unique & memorable sound. After being nominated in 2022 for an International Portuguese Music Award, MAGÏN is now working on his 10th studio project set to be released in the fall!

In February 2009, Roy’s Station opened in the very spot where Grandpa Roy operated a Mobil gas station for nearly 50 years. Roy and his wife, Esther, were raised in families that worked the orchards of Santa Clara Valley, and were a part of the San Jose Japantown community their entire lives.

Roy’s Station has changed with this valley while staying true to its historic roots. Once known for pumping high octane petrol by the gallon, the building now pumps out organically-sourced coffee and teas, offering free wi-fi, and is solar powered.

Roy’s Station is family-owned and independently operated. We sit in the middle of a community rich in history, where sacrifices were made and its preservation is essential. That is why you will find us sweeping, planting, and caring for the neighborhood we are proud to be a part of.

Roy's Station is home to a family-run, independently operated coffee shop in historic Japantown, San Jose. Originally the home to Grandpa Roy's Mobil gas station, it now serves Verve Coffee and baked goods.
