❄️ Winter Wedding Fairytales ❄️

One of our past winter weddings was unforgettable — the kind of day where the snow sparkled, the couple glowed, and (fun fact!) the celebration even made its way onto TLC. Just another reason we adore winter weddings in the Last Frontier.

When you’re planning a cold-weather celebration in Interior Alaska, creating warmth and coziness becomes part of the magic. Here are three of our favorite ways to make a winter wedding feel inviting and heart-warming:

✨ 1. Fill the Space with Candlelight
Soft, flickering light adds instant warmth. Tapers, lanterns, and clusters of candles create that dreamy winter ambiance we love.

🏔️ 2. Choose an Intimate, Cozy Venue
Winter pairs beautifully with smaller spaces and thoughtfully curated guest lists, creating an atmosphere that feels connected and meaningful.

☕ 3. Add a Hot Beverage Bar
Gourmet cocoa, mulled cider, or a warm signature cocktail gives guests something comforting to sip between snowy moments.

P.S. Alaska Winter Tip: When temperatures drop below zero, real florals can’t survive outdoors—even for a few minutes. If you’re dreaming of snowy portraits, plan for secondary bouquets and boutonnieres for outside so your main florals stay fresh and beautiful indoors for the ceremony and reception.
