We got to see one of our favorite families last week and this session felt extra special as we celebrated baby Aurora’s 6-month milestone among the blooms at Dollie’s Farm! 🌸✨

We’ve photographed this incredible family through so many sweet seasons, and seeing them now with three proud big brothers doting on their baby sister was pure magic. The golden light, the flower fields, the giggles and snuggles… it was the kind of session that makes your heart swell.

Aurora took it all in with bright, curious eyes a calm and radiant in the middle of all that boy energy. From playful moments between the rows to quiet cuddles with mama and dad, every moment felt like pure joy to this new chapter as a complete family of six.

While you may already recognize my face behind the camera I thought it was the perfect time to properly reintroduce myself, especially now that we’ve stepped fully into this new season as a husband and wife photography team.

I’m Maria, the founder, lead photographer, wife, mom, dog lover, travel ju**ie, Disney Enthusiast and the original heart behind our business. For the past 16 years, I’ve had the joy of documenting love stories across the country (and even across the ocean), and every year I fall more in love with this calling.

From quiet in-between moments to timeline planning and thoughtful details, I approach every wedding with heart, intention, and a little light-hearted fun — and now, sharing that with Matthew by my side makes it all the more meaningful.

Since we did a fun fact list for Matthew, a few weeks ago it’s only fair I share a few about myself too. So here we go:

10 Fun Facts About Me:

✨ I was actually a Disney bride — we were married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion

✨ I’m a proud mom to two kiddos & dog mom to eight (yes, eight!) pups — including five huskies, a poodle, and two shepherds.

✨ At the end of the day you will likely catch me watching Hallmark Movies I know cheesy but I don’t care 🤣

✨ I’ve been chasing the northern lights — literally — and even saw them from the Arctic Circle. It’s a passion project!

✨ I’ve always had a deep love for Disney… there is something so magical about being able to step back in time to your childhood.

✨ There’s something about Charleston that feels like stepping into a love story — it’s one of my favorite places to photograph and wander.

✨ I love all things weddings — and I was that girl at 6 years old that knew she wanted to be a wedding photographer.

✨ I’m obsessed with Dusty Blue, but I wear all black on wedding days. It’s kind of my signature.

✨ I’ve been Matthew’s best friend and biggest fan for over a decade… and now, his teammate in this business, too.

There’s something so timeless about Holcomb Gardens and it made the perfect backdrop for Chelsea and Ben’s engagement session. The way they laugh together, the ease between them, and the way their little ones looked up at them with so much joy made this session feel extra special.

It wasn’t just an engagement session — it was a celebration of the beautiful life they’ve already begun building as a family.

Photographing these moments with their sweet little babies alongside them was such a joy, and it made me all the more excited for their wedding day this November. It’s going to be such a heartfelt celebration, and I’m honored to be the one documenting it all.

Bri and Sam’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful from start to finish.

Their ceremony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel was classic and meaningful, and the celebration that followed at Hotel Carmichael was full of warmth, elegance, and joy. Every detail felt so true to who they are as a couple—timeless, intentional, and full of love.

Bri looked stunning, and the way Sam lit up when he saw her said it all. Their day was filled with happy tears, laughter, and so many sweet moments between the two of them and their families.

There’s something timeless about summer evenings at Newfields—and Anastasiya and Alex’s engagement session captured that effortless elegance perfectly.

Anastaysia’s floral dress moved beautifully through the gardens, echoing the textures and colors of the season. The soft palette, paired with Newfields’ sculpted paths and lush blooms, created a backdrop that felt both refined and romantic.

As we wandered through the property, from sun-dappled walkways to tucked-away corners of the garden, every scene felt serene and intentional. Their connection is quiet and genuine—easy to photograph and even easier to feel.

Even on the hottest wedding day of the year, nothing could dim the joy of Christie and Logan’s celebration! ☀️

From the moment the day began, it was clear this wedding was going to be something special — full of love, laughter, and those little moments that make a wedding days unforgettable.

The Barn at Bay Horse Inn was the perfect backdrop for their celebration — rustic charm meets modern elegance. Every detail came together flawlessly, from emotional walk down the aisle to the heartfelt vows they exchanged in front of their friends and family!

Despite the record-breaking heat, Christie & Logan and their loved ones embraced every second with grace and joy. The way these two love each other is something truly beautiful to witness — and their day was a perfect reflection of that.

Chrissy & Noah’s engagement session in Carmel, Indiana was full of laughter, love, and the dreamiest light.

We started at Carmel Town Hall, where the classic architecture and nearby fountain gave us such a romantic setting to kick things off. These two were so natural together, making every photo feel effortless and full of joy.

Then we made our way to the beautiful exterior of the Cake Bake Shop, where the soft pastels and twinkle lights added a whimsical, storybook vibe to wrap up the session.

The charm of that spot paired with their sweet connection was the perfect way to end the morning!

We are so excited for their wedding day later this year at Hotel Carmichael, Autograph Collection and can’t wait to capture even more magic with these two!

Lexie & Ben’s wedding day at Deer Park Manor was truly something out of a dream. From the first moment to the last, it was the most wonderful day with an even more amazing couple at the heart of it all.

Nestled in southern Indiana, this stunning venue felt like we had been transported to an Italian villa—right in the heart of Bloomington. The elegant architecture, lush greenery, and romantic courtyard gave the entire day a European charm that set the tone for something truly magical.

Rain had been in the forecast all week—and even on the morning of the wedding, the skies looked uncertain. But by some miracle, even with rain clouds surrounding us, the sun broke through just in time. We ended up with golden light, warm skies, and the most perfect weather for a celebration full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

And let’s not forget one of the sweetest touches of the night—a gelato cart! Guests were treated to the most delicious scoops under the stars, adding that final bit of Italian flair to a day that already felt straight out of a fairytale.

Lexie & Ben, thank you for inviting us into such a joyful and elegant day. You two radiate kindness, connection, and so much love—and we were honored to capture it all.

If you’ve been to one of our weddings this season, you probably already know this guy — but it’s time to give him a proper introduction!

Matthew has been such a huge part of our team behind the scenes for the past couple of years — but now that we’ve officially transitioned to a full husband & wife photography duo, it’s time you get to know him a little better!

He brings so much calm, intention, and heart to every wedding day, and I truly don’t know what I’d do without him by my side — not just in life, but in business too.

Whether he’s fluffing veils, adjusting boutonnieres, wrangling groomsmen, or cracking a joke at just the right moment, he’s already made a lasting impression on our couples. He’s also a go-to guy when it comes to helping the groom and groomsmen feel relaxed and taken care of while getting ready — from helping with ties, pocket squares, and cuff links to making sure everyone’s where they need to be.

So, in the spirit of “meet the team,” here are 10 fun facts to help you get to know the second half of our duo:

✨ He’s always up for a travel adventure — whether it’s Charleston, Disney, or across the ocean.
✨ He’s a huge bird lover but think Parrot’s, African Greys, and more.
✨He has a not-so-secret obsession with sharks and wants to scuba dive with the Great Whites in Africa in a cage of course
✨ He’s a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan (and yes, he still talks about 2016 like it was yesterday).
✨ He’s a loyal UK basketball fan and always believes this season is the season. Makes it interesting when they play IU lol
✨ He’s a movie buff and loves the Harry Potter Franchise
✨ He loves to snowboard and every winter he counts down to snowboard season!

Kolbie and Jeremy’s engagement session at Holcomb Gardens was nothing short of perfect.

✨ The golden light, the peaceful trails, and the blooming summer greens created the dreamiest backdrop — but what made this evening truly special was the meaning behind the location.

Holcomb Gardens isn’t just a beautiful spot — it’s part of their story. It’s where they first met, where their friendship began, and where their love story started to unfold. They both went to college here, and coming back to this place for their engagement photos felt like the most full-circle moment.

I always encourage couples to choose locations that matter to them — places that hold memories, meaning, and milestones. And this session reminded me why. Because when you’re standing in a place that helped shape your story, the emotions are real, the smiles come naturally, and every photo feels a little more personal.

So excited for these two and all that’s ahead we can’t wait to photograph their Hotel Carmichael, Autograph Collection Wedding Day next spring and celebrate with them and their families!

Kane is turning ONE! 🎉

I had the sweetest time celebrating this little guy’s 1st birthday with a milestone + family session last week, and let me tell you—he absolutely lit up the morning with those big eyes and contagious smiles!

Morning sessions are always such a win when it comes to photographing babies and toddlers. Kane was full of energy, well-rested, and ready to explore—just the way we love them! The early light gave us the dreamiest glow and a calm, quiet setting perfect for snuggles, giggles, and lots of cake crumbs. 😉

This milestone felt extra special capturing not just Kane’s big moment, but also the love and connection of his whole family and seeing their family grow. These are the kinds of memories that go by way too fast, and I’m so honored I got to freeze a few of them forever.

Happy 1st birthday, Kane—you are so very loved! 💙
