Meet the husband-and-wife team behind For The People Entertainment

The name wasn't chosen from a list. It came out of a real conversation.

Lisa asked Jerald: Why are you doing this? Really — why?

And without hesitating, he said: For the people.

That was it. That became the name, the mission, and the standard they've held themselves to ever since.

Hi — we're Jerald and Lisa Donegan, the husband-and-wife team behind For The People Entertainment.

Jerald is the CEO, founder, and the man behind the decks. I'm Lisa, VP of the company and the person making sure everything runs the way it should behind the scenes.

We didn't just build a DJ company. We built a business with a real ethos — one where every single client who books with us is welcomed into the FTP family. Because that's genuinely how we see it. You're not a booking number. You're someone we're celebrating with.

When you ask us what we play, our answer is always the same: whatever you want to hear. Your event. Your vision. Your people.

We've poured everything into this — the equipment, the experience, the professionalism, the atmosphere. Every piece of what you see on show day is something we built and refined ourselves, because we care about getting it right.

For the People Entertainment is a Milwaukee based DJ and MC team, serving weddings across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We work best with couples who are laid back but know what they want: tell us what you love and what to skip, and we'll build the night around that.

Here's what makes us different. We spend the week before your wedding going through your planning forms line by line, so every list is sorted and every DJ has what they need before they walk in. We never book all our DJs on the same day. There's always someone on call as backup, so a sick DJ or equipment issue never becomes your problem. We call every couple the week of to walk through the plan together, so nobody is guessing on the day.

Couples consistently tell us their dance floor stayed packed all night, even guests who swore they wouldn't dance. They mention our team reading the room and adjusting on the fly, and checking in during the event without hovering.
