Featured Plant of the Week:
Coffee Plant

🌿Characterized by glossy green leaves and fragrant white flowers that appear on mature plants
🌿Compact growth habit, can be pruned to maintain shape
🌿Prefers bright, indirect light
🌿Water frequently to keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged
🌿This is an actual coffee plant and could produce edible coffee beans, however it's unlikely it will produce enough indoors to make a cup of homegrown coffee
🌿Typically it takes several years for the plant to reach maturity and produce blooms which smell like jasmine
🌿Not considered pet-friendly. While the beans are edible, the rest of the plant is considered toxic to people and pets if ingested. *General disclaimer: It is always best practice to keep houseplants out of reach of pets and small children, just in case. These plants are not meant to be ingested.*

Pothos Pearls & Jade

🌿Characterized by its green and white variegated foliage; has smaller, thinner leaves than many of its pothos relatives
🌿Trailing growth habit makes pothos an excellent choice for a hanging basket, but can also be trained to grow up a trellis or other support
🌿 Low maintenance care makes pothos one of the easiest, most forgiving indoor houseplants. Makes a perfect beginner plant!
🌿Pothos need well-draining soil and consistent watering, but an occasional missed watering is nothing to worry about
🌿Prefer bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some direct morning or evening light, but best practice is to avoid direct sunlight if possible
🌿Well-suited for growing on an outdoor covered porch during the warm, humid summer months and can be brought back in during cold months. (Bring inside when temperatures start dropping below 55*F)

🌿Rex begonias may commonly be called painted-leaf begonias or fancy-leaf begonias
🌿Slow-growing but easy to care for with minimal maintenance required
🌿Can be grown indoors year-round or outdoors during warm months
🌿Prefers partial to full shade outdoors or indirect light indoors
