Let's talk about procrastinating tasks and then trying to do everything all at once.

In event planning and in life, when we rush ourselves, sometimes things get sloppy.

And while I am always in favor of using the momentum you have, some projects are just too big to put together in a day.

As soon as someone books me for a wedding, I send them a checklist with a set of tasks to be done over the next few months.

That way we all have time to review details and make sure everything is thought through. You don’t have to agree with me, but I’d love to hear your perspective below. 👇

Here’s a tip I LOVE! ❤️

When it comes to event planning (ahem- and life in general), there’s a fine line between doing it yourself and being obsessed.

My simple recommendation: find people you trust and ask for help. Maybe that's paid vendors with incredible recommendations and ratings and maybe that's friends and family.

If you wanna plan like a pro, I recommend asking for help from trusted sources.

Before I started my business helping people like you with event planning, I had a lot of experience planning events (just not with that title).

I was a skin care and beauty director for 18 years BEFORE I started Infinity Studios and I saw how many couples needed help planning their weddings. I ended up doing both jobs for a lot of people who were getting married.

You guys always ask us how we start the planning process and the answer is all of these tools:

✅ Pinterest is the perfect place to start the vision of your big day. I always say Pinterest first and the rest will come!

✅ Google Sheets is a great way to get your guest list in order. You and your fiance/e can add names as you think of them and they update instantly!

✅ The Knot can help with so many aspects of wedding planning, but one of my favorite things is the free wedding website. Everything is made easier when your guests have a central place to go to for your registry, reception address, times, attire, etc.

✅ Budget trackers are hugely important to staying organized for your wedding. While I don’t have one specific I love, there are many on the market for this purpose.

With these tools, you can concur planning your perfect wedding day, and the best part: every one of these is FREE.

The truth is starting small is the best advice when it comes to event planning. Choose a color, an aesthetic, a venue, or even a date. The rest will start flowing.
