Here is the final plan of our Baltic Way Commemoration Run:
🕡 6:30–6:45 AM
Meeting at 5401 S Western Ave, Horizon Science Academy backyard parking lot.
This is the place where personal cars can be parked. We’ll get on the van and go to the starting point.
🏁 6:55 AM – Darius and Girėnas Memorial (W Marquette Rd & S California Ave)
🟢 7:00 AM – Start of the run
⛪ 7:05 AM – Nativity BVM Lithuanian Church (6800 S Fairfield Ave)
🏛️ 7:30 AM – Chicago Lithuanian Center (5620 S Claremont Ave)
📍 9:15 AM – 1953–1965 N Milwaukee Ave (SW corner of Western & Milwaukee Ave)
🎒 10:30 AM – Ligzda – Latvian Community Center & School (6551 W Montrose Ave)
🏡 2:00 PM – Estonian House (14700 Estonian Ln)

🚐 The van comfortably accommodates 14 riders. Everyone is free to choose how to arrive at the meeting point and how to arrange transportation afterward.
🎌 National flags—large and small—are a must. Though our joint team has fewer men than ladies, the men will do their best to carry flags and relieve our ladies from that duty.
💧 We’ll load some bottled water, but it’s always better if everyone brings their own snacks and drinks. Please dress according to the weather. Even a change of shoes is a good idea. There’s a good chance the weather will be as favorable as it could be this summer in August.
🎉 Based on experience, I promise the 7-hour event will not keep you bored. At the Latvian and Estonian places, communities will be greeting us. For the occasion, it would be nice to have something special to put on at the finish.
